    Extremely Disappointing

    2/5
I had a 2 burner induction hob and a 4 burner gas hob for 23 years. The ignition went on my gas hob and the induction hob was becoming a little less reliable. I decided to replace both hobs and have all induction. This AEG hob has been extremely disappointing. It doesn’t seem to cook evenly and I can’t use some pots that I could use on my old induction hob, which still work on my new 2 burner hob. It does boil water quickly. I am awaiting a visit from an AEG repairman, but I don’t want repair, I want a replacement that works as it should.

Lack of standards leaves customers wanting

Problem fitting it as a replacement. Existing one had a recess at the front. The new one didn't, meaning I had to chisel out the drawer span (which also supports the granite worktop). Shame these things aren't standard. I thought that just making sure the overall measurements were right was enough. Good job I had a patient electrician who was doing the fitting. But no complaints re AO who delivered when they said.

Looks great, haven’t tested all the features yet, but easy to use controls.

Product seems to do all it is supposed to. As yet not had much opportunity to use it.

    Good, not perfect

    4/5
Easy to install (albeit the screw terminals almost seem undersized for the gauge of cable needed). Be mindful (as with most induction hobs) this doesn't come pre-supplied with cable - you/your installer will need to source this yourself. Touch controls are fairly responsive, the hob is very quick to heat up/cool down, and handles larger pans well (30cm+). Fan is audible but not overly loud. The per-heating area timer function is great, as is the auto-off if no pan is detected. There's a high pitched whine that can be heard with a particular combination of hobs/power levels, which I'm hopeful will go away with time. Easy to clean.

Good product, heats up really fast and dead simple to use - quality item

    Great hob for small families.

Works well. Only downside it is limited to pans of 20cm. Larger ones need to cover 2 zones for bridge to be used but anything in between is not useable. Only use I can think of for the bridge is a fish kettle or a barbecue griddle.

    It's a hob

Pretty good. It's a hob and it works.
