    Hopeless

    1/5
Terrible value. Lasted a 2.5 years before pump issues followed by unresolvable software issue. Either spend out on costly repairs or cut my losses. When it worked, never dried on first cycle. Designed to fail!

    Only lasted a week!

    1/5
Only used 3 times and failed. Waiting an engineers visit. For the 2/3 times of use - takes much longer than previous beko condenser machine. Ability to clean filters very easy. My wife would prefer to return back to a condenser model -regardless of expense!

    AVOID

After one year it is no longer drying the clothes. The pump and the sensor for detecting heat have been changed and it still doesn't work. It was 3 days past it's warranty and Hotpoint refused to come out without us paying. The last engineer to leave said there wasn't much else he could do. We now need to buy a new dryer. AVOID!

    Broke down after 15 moths

    1/5
Broke down after 15 months despite regular cleaning of the filter and infrequent use. I registered for the warranty but after 12 months it had run out. Cost me £100 to fix.

    Don’t buy!

    1/5
Avoid, exceptionally disappointed with this product, time to dry way, way more excessive than what it states, discussion with Hotpoint informs its normal for a heat pump drier to take up to 8 hours to dry a full load! If I had known that when researching from the available information, I would have made a different choice, it may use 40% of the electricity a vented drier does, but when it takes 4 times as long to dry, not efficient at all!

    Failed after 14 months

Failed after 14 months - 2 months after the end of the warranty.

    Heat Pump vs Vented

    3/5
The heat pump dryer replaces a vented dryer that stopped heating. I understood it would take longer to dry but the times do seem excessive. Hopefully just need to get used to the settings and it will drh the clothes at 40% of the energy cost.

You get what you pay for

Doesn’t always completely dry the clothes and the it often takes longer then the time stated to finish. But it’s pretty quiet and good value for money.
