Very disappointed in both Hotpoint, who will take 11 days to attend to a brand new machine that never worked (and has been the subject of repeated service calls, and especially Appliances Online as the retailer who won't simply replace the faulty machine without charging for it as a "used" machine. And I have paid for their 5 star service...

VERY loud clunking when dryer is on so can't use it. Was told by AO and Hotpoint that if this is normal for this washer dryer I need to pay for his visit. Bith AO and Hotpoint provided awful customer service after I called to explain the situation. The instructions are overly complicated. Spent 90 mins trying to get through to Hotpoint. Do not buy this model. No more purchases via AO and Hotpoint for me.

I've had this for several months now and it's the worst washer-dryer I've ever owned. Almost all the cycles take a ridiculously long time, typically around three hours. The drying functions are useless and rarely leave clothes fully dry, no matter how long you run them. It's caused pilling on lots of clothes, which has never been an issue with previous machines. Absolutely hate it and will avoid Hotpoint machines in future.

Washes quietly but during the drying process makes an annoying thud every 10-15 seconds or so. I queried this with the manufacturer and they told me that during the drying process a valve opens periodically to give a squirt of water into the drum, hence the noise. It's not something I've experienced before in a washer-dryer. Hmm!! On the advice of the manufactirer, I took this up with AO as I find it annoying and there was no mention of this in the product description. The agent said he needed to speak to various people about how to proceed. After 4 days I'm still waiting for them to get back to me. It seems as an experience, it's going downhill fast.

Wide range of programs, but they are awkwardly restrictive - not easy to use. The drying setting is noisy, repeatedly opens the water inlet for half a second every few seconds, and loudly locks and unlocks the door for no apparent reason.

Brilliant washing machine with a large choice of cycles and some great features like steam clean and anti allergy setting. Very quiet even on highest spin. An absolute dead loss as a dryer though - most things come out damp no matter how long the cycle is run. Heavier items come out almost as wet as they went in. Totally useless in that sense.

Good washer dryer, does take a while to work out what the best program is. Good value for money

This machine washes well, I like the fast wash especially. I haven’t used the drying function yet. When you switch it on there is a long pause and then 2 ominous sounding clicks but that doesn’t seem to affect its efficiency.
