Cuisinart Ice Cream Deluxe Our short lived summers can be extended with this amazing machine, Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker Deluxe!! My Kids love it! The Item is quite large for a small kitchen appliance, it is in a brushed steel colour which always looks nice in kitchens, and it also on first glance looks a very easy item to use. Which now I can guarantee is very very easy to use. It comes with a housing unit, an easy-lock lid, a mixing arm, a freezer bowl. You have to remember that the Freezer bowl needs to stay in the freezer for at least 12 hours, my freezer isn’t very big so I have had to remove the bottom tray to house the freezer bowl, not the best as now I have limited space to store my ice cream!! Setting the machine up is very easy everything fits inside each other very nicely. There is a hole in the lid to pour the mixture in. It only has one setting on the machine, so very simple to use, it is a little noisy as the process goes on but so is a washing machine so it isn’t a problem to me, you can always leave the room for a while. Taking the ice cream out of the freezer bowl is a little tricky, but I am hoping in time with experience it will become easier. The washing of the freezer bowl is very easy, but remember to submerge the whole bowl in hot water before grabbing it as it can stick to your hands, it cleans up very well and a cleaning wipe around the machine gives it its new look again. All in all I love this product, my kids also love it and I am trying different flavours all the time. A great machine. Brilliant!!!!

Easy to set up and use. Makes super deliciously soft ice cream in about 15 minutes, leave mixing longer for firmer texture.

Very pleased with the ice cream maker. Ice cream and sorbet all been better than bought versions. Noisier than I expected it to be.

First few ice creams have been great - only thing that would improve the machine is a timer but otherwise all good.

This is a great looking appliance- it's a nice simple design, and brushed steel, so looks good out on the work surface! It's very straightforward and easy to use so no fiddling around working out complex instructions! It consists of the main body, with a very simple 'on/off' switch', a bowl which needs to be frozen before use, a plastic churner which just fits easily and loosely inside the freezer bowl, and a lid which clicks into place on the top, and through which you can pour the ice-cream. The bowl needs to go into the freezer at least 12 hours before using, so you do need to have freezer space- I don't have a huge freezer, but had no trouble fitting it into my bottom freezer drawer- you might however want to check your freezer dimensions to make sure it will fit! The instruction manual includes a few recipes to get started, we made the simple chocolate ice-cream first which was delicious. After half an hour of churning, you have a soft-serve ice-cream- you wouldn't be able to scoop it, more spoonable! It tasted delicious and was a lovely consistency, however we preferred it once we had popped it into a tupperware and let it freeze so that we could serve it up in scoops! I'm really looking forward to trying out some more recipes in this, to find some healthier desserts for my children. It would be perfect for frozen yoghurt, sorbet and we will be experimenting a lot to find some good recipes! Equally, just the most simple ice-cream recipe really tastes 100 times better than bought ice-cream, and is much more cost- effective than the higher end ice-creams- you can get a huge tub of homemade for the same price as a little tub from the supermarket.

Exactly what I was looking for. Its a large machine so suitable for a bigger kitchen but this means you are able to make a large tub of ice cream!
