Upon opening the packaging I was instantly pleased at how simple it was. It literally just has the base unit, the freezing container, the churning paddle and then the lid. I like how it has the knob at the front with either it being able to be on and off. No fancy settings here! I also like how the lead on it is quite long so you can move it wherever is convenient for you. The instructions are really clear to understand. You do have to freeze the bowl for 12 hours in order to start the process. This is the only reason that I have knocked it down one star as it really is only suitable for either chest freezers or larger American style freezers. I had to completely remove the bottom drawer in my fridge freezer in order to fit it in. Definitely check out the dimensions of the inner bowl and your own freezer. The instructions also suggest keeping the bowl in the freezer so that it is ready for when the need arises to make your own ice cream. Great idea but impractical for me with my current freezer space. The ice cream machine is quite loud too but this just means you have to potentially leave he room and come back to it after it has churned for the required length of time. There is no timer setting on the machine though for this so you would have to remember when you set it going. Overall, I'm really happy with the gadget and I can see that it will get lots of use particularly over the summer months. I'm very pleased that it is so easy to wash after use and also that it is aesthetically pleasing so it can remain out of the cupboard. The open lid also means that we can add larger chunks of ingredients during the mixing time so this has enabled us to think up and create lots of new ice cream recipes. I can see at his rate that I may have to invest in a new freezer purely for the amount of frozen desserts we will be creating.

Exactly what I was looking for. Its a large machine so suitable for a bigger kitchen but this means you are able to make a large tub of ice cream!

This machine has been fab for us, it has a large capacity which is fab for making a whole tub at once. The way it functions means you can add dry ingredients throughout the ice cream making process, we were unable to do this with our last machine. Can’t wait to experiment with more variations! It works pretty fast too, after the bowl has been frozen it only takes half an hour to churn the ice cream. It’s very sturdy and appears robust. And the best bit- the tasting! It leaves the ice cream with a lovely texture. Oo and a bonus- the maker is attractive looking with its brushed stainless steel finish. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this machine as my husband loves Ice cream, but is diabetic, so l thought I would give it a go, so I knew exactly what the ingredients were. The first batch I made was good, but the second and third were fantastic. I have started experimenting with flavours now. It is very easy to use, and clean, and the results are wonderful.

First few ice creams have been great - only thing that would improve the machine is a timer but otherwise all good.

This is a great looking appliance- it's a nice simple design, and brushed steel, so looks good out on the work surface! It's very straightforward and easy to use so no fiddling around working out complex instructions! It consists of the main body, with a very simple 'on/off' switch', a bowl which needs to be frozen before use, a plastic churner which just fits easily and loosely inside the freezer bowl, and a lid which clicks into place on the top, and through which you can pour the ice-cream. The bowl needs to go into the freezer at least 12 hours before using, so you do need to have freezer space- I don't have a huge freezer, but had no trouble fitting it into my bottom freezer drawer- you might however want to check your freezer dimensions to make sure it will fit! The instruction manual includes a few recipes to get started, we made the simple chocolate ice-cream first which was delicious. After half an hour of churning, you have a soft-serve ice-cream- you wouldn't be able to scoop it, more spoonable! It tasted delicious and was a lovely consistency, however we preferred it once we had popped it into a tupperware and let it freeze so that we could serve it up in scoops! I'm really looking forward to trying out some more recipes in this, to find some healthier desserts for my children. It would be perfect for frozen yoghurt, sorbet and we will be experimenting a lot to find some good recipes! Equally, just the most simple ice-cream recipe really tastes 100 times better than bought ice-cream, and is much more cost- effective than the higher end ice-creams- you can get a huge tub of homemade for the same price as a little tub from the supermarket.
