    Mostly a Hit

    4/5
This is my first heat pump dryer so I paid more for this make for the five year guarantee. It's not a cheap machine. I also chose Samsung as I bought a Samsung washing machine eight years ago and it's great. I find that it can take a bit longer to dry my washing than my old condenser dryer but it comes out properly dry (unlike the old one) and doesn't need a bit more time. I've found a Mixed Dry tend to take around 1 hour 40 minutes and a Cotton Dry a little longer, still much shorter than the time shown at the start. I think clothes feel a bit softer but that could be my imagination. The clothes never seem to get hot during the drying cycle, unlike with the condenser dryer, which is probably better for them. What I don't like is that the level of dryness is only an option on some of the programmes. I mostly want my washing to be dry, not partly dry. I should be able to choose but can't on any of the Optimal Dry programmes such as Towels, Bedding and the other Optimal Dry programmes except Shirts. Why wouldn't I want towels to be fully dry? I used Towels (medium dry only) once and the start time was an hour and a half, then it added 30 minutes and then another 30. I had to give then another 30 minutes on warm and the heavy seams were still a bit damp. Never again. I now use Cotton to dry my towels. A big plus is that the cost to dry clothes, jeans, bedding (I use Mixed for almost everything) is about half of what it was with my previous condenser dryer. Overall I'm happy with the dryer.

    Good so far.

This dryer is working well so. Knew it would take longer to dry items compared to our previous dryer but find that using timed drying can cut times down a little. Easy to clean fluff filter and water easily emptied. The only downside so far is the irritating tinkly music.

    Efficient, effective dryer

    4/5
Really pleased with this dryer, the sensor knows how dry the clothes are and it stops when it senses the moisture has dropped to the set level saving time and money. Not noticed any significant difference in power consumption on my smart meter since we’ve been using it.

Good machine but takes time to understand how to use all its features

    4/5
The machine is quiet and washes well, but am still exploring the various options, such as the eco-bubble, minimum iron etc. I have always used the delicates programme on previous machines, but on this seems to be equivalent to hand wash and would need a separate spin.

    Pleased so far

Only had this a couple of weeks but so far pretty pleased. Plenty of drying modes, large drum, not too noisy and looks good.

    Good tumble dryer

Happy with this product. I think the light inside is a pretty pointless feature, unless you particularly like your clothes feeling like they are at a disco. Drys well, and quite often doesn’t take as long as it states when you start it.

    Time in your side

    4/5
Takes a much longer time than a 'normal' dryer but that's the price you pay I guess for being more energy efficient
