I burned out my old cooker hood with a chip-pan fire! This Baumatic BECH60GL was my insurers' replacement for the old generic model. Superficially similar, it was simplicity itself to fit as all the mountings are accessible (unlike getting the old one off the wall!). Works very well, not as noisy as the old one and with much better lighting and (unless I'm kidding myself) better smell clearance. I would recommend this product.

Bought this to replace existing one that was the same size only the new one is not, the glass is 60cm but the extraction is not ,the filter is smaller so some making good was needed.The unit fitted easily and used existing outlet the chimney was a nightmare as it is flimsy nearly used old chimney.All said it looks good and works well filter mesh vibrates sometimes my wife likes it give yourself time to fit and all ok

The hood looks great in the kitchen, easy to install and not too noisy in operation. A good product for the price

This is the 2nd chimney fan but a different product from the 1st. I managed to fit it myself and I'm a 72 old invalid. Chimney size slightly larger than before but a more powerful motor. It is quieter than the previous one by a long way. The two bulbs are on the front edge therefore spread a greater area of bright white light. Four buttons, 3 speeds and lights, just push on push off. A very good buy I'd say.

We previously had a Baumatic cooker hood many years ago and was very happy with the years it gave us. Decided not to get it repaired as the cost of this new one and quality was excellent value, and we now have a brand spanking new one which I highly recommend
