Extremely efficient for a dryer. I can see on my smart meter that it only costs 12p per load which compared to the tumble dryer my dad has is a saving of about 60p per load. I'm thoroughly impressed with the efficiency of the dryer and it dries the clothes really well. The water pump is easy to remove and empty and the fluff collector is brilliantly designed so you don't accidentally have fluff falling out on the floor whilst you're emptying it.

After reading up on the heat pump dryers I was slightly worried they would take forever to dry clothes and especially bedding, but I am very happily surprised. It doesn’t seem to take any longer than my previous tumble dryer which was a standard condenser. Nice that the water drawer is at the top of the unit and easily removed/emptied. The fluff filter is really good quality and again easy to clean. Overall I would recommend this product. This will surely save a fortune in energy bills and no longer worry about running it. It barely registers on our smart meter!

I wanted to give it more stars but unfortunately the first one was leaking, the second one made a thumping noise as the drum was turning. To be fair to hoover and ao.com their customer service has been fantastic. If the 3rd one is faulty i'm going to give up with a tumble dryer. Despite the leaking first one the drying that it did do was great. I knew that drying time would be longer as is the case with hear pump. Just disappointed that I've had two faulty ones. Will update the review when the 3rd one has arrived and been used.

It's OK, not that intuitive and could do with more reverse action, doesn't always dry first time either

I can always rely on indesit, another great machine I’ve bought, I read the reviews on the indesit and they are true to word which is mostly positive, I’ve bought the indesit heat pump dryer this time so it can go anywhere, the controls are very easy to understand with many features, all with a fantastic price, can’t go wrong with a indesit

A lot quicker than old condenser drier

We purchased this heat pump tumble dryer so we can locate it indoors instead of the garage where our vented model was kept and preferable to a condensing type. Although more expensive, the energy usage is much less and, with higher electricity prices, a payback period will be shorter. The controls are simple to follow, the noise level is not an issue and the automatic cycle shutdown based on sensing of the moisture level is another cost saving feature.
