The freezer is well constructed and looks good. Unfortunately within hours it had copious frosting a some ice over the drawers and door. We had to wait several days for a Hotpoint engineer to visit. He found a sizeable gap in the seal at the bottom. He solved the issue but several days later I decided to defrost the freezer as the melting ice had left marks and drips all down the drawer fronts. When we put the freezer back on the LED temperature display said 8 degrees. The warning sound was bleeping. It stayed that way. (The display had shown the set temperature of -18 immediately we switched it on the very first time.) Another call to ao and a very unsatisfactory conversation with Hotpoint. They suggested we wait yet another 5 days for an engineer visit. I said I didn’t trust the freezer and wanted it replaced. Hotpoint told me that I couldn’t have a replacement one as we had ‘altered the product. This being we had switched the door round. There is nothing anywhere to say that give up your rights if you switch the door. Parts and instructions for switching are sent with the freezer. We were furious with the attitude of Hotpoint. (The freezer was still showing 8 degrees and the warning bleeping days later when it was collected.) Fortunately ao were very helpful indeed and replaced the freezer with a different make. So 5 stars to ao and zero stars to Hotpoint.

The product looks good, matches the Fridge we ordered a few months ago. But we have not pugged it in yet to see how it all works. Its not pugged in yet because of the following, and the fact that we cannot use it until the door is changed as it bocks entry to the freezer in its current position. I was disappointed that although the door was advertised as reservable, there was no option on line to have this done by yourselves. I assumed that as I had paid an installation fee that it would be covered by this but alas! on delivery we were told this was not the case. So at the moment it is standing un-plugged and waiting for me to find someone to reverse the door! very frustrating.

The product was just what I wanted, ordering was simple, AO kept in touch with delivery timings and who / what and when. Overall happy, however on unpacking the item the side was all dented. I took photographs, sent them to AO to their image email they provide. I have heard nothing to date about how or why it came to be dented.

It's a freezer. It freezes thing. It does that reletively quietly and so far is frost-free. No complaints in that area. Two minor negatives. First - the door seal is VERY strong; never had a fridge or freezer with such a strong seal. Second - the top two areas have hinged doors that are slightly tricky to open. The temptation is to grab the middle of the flap and pull but this requires a little force and gives the impression that the grabable area of the door will break. Use two hands, one at each end of the door, and it's perfectly fine. Also, it didn't come with any worthwhile instructions on the digital control panel. A quick look online at Hotpoints support pages and a downloadable manual filled in the missing details. Overall, happy with the purchase.

Very spacious love the drawers love the size the only down side is the door is hard to open you really have to pull it.

Smart product. Nice lot of space. Only negatives are that there is no internal light like my old one and the door has to be pushed hard to make sure it is closed.

Looks good and seems to be doing the job so far! I would have preferred all drawers rather than 2 shelves at the top but that’s just my preference

The top shelf is slightly restricted but overall a good performer. The frost free is perfect and rollers at the back of the unit make installation easy. Plastic drawers are a bit fragile so don’t be heavy handed
