was I unlucky or is there a dangerous problem with this batch?

be wary.....Thought this would be perfect in my kitchen and an excellent list of features. AO installed it and left instructing me to leave the ovens on for about 20 minutes. 15 minutes later, from the living room, i heard a loud pop and the fuse had blown. I called the engineer who said it must be a fault with the cooker as both he and the electrician who had moved the cooker switch the day before, had checked the electrics worked properly. He told me to turn the fuse back on and bang! I had such a fright and was really shocked--couldn't stop shaking. I could have been killed when I flipped the fuse box switch back up without having been told to turn the ovens off first. Both my electrician and the one who came to take it away from AO say the issue was with the cooker--was it a one off or is there a batch with a fault?

Bought this cooker in June 2021 to replace a Stoves one we had for 21years. The cooker itself looks great and is very efficient until the top oven door began to fall open with any slight touch. We didn’t buy an extended guarantee or Care plan due to our trust in the Stoves quality. Unfortunately we now have to pay out for what we deem as a manufacturing fault. Disappointed and annoyed that whilst paying a premium for quality, it’s no guarantee you will get it.

Good looking cooker shame not perfect

Beautiful cooker, happy with it. But one of the burners doesn't work. Still waiting for an engineer to contact me. Its been over a week since eventually getting through on the phone to stoves helpline. Supposed to hear within 48 hours. Very expensive cooker, so disappointing.

    Not great

Gas kept going out in the oven. Food got spoilt. Bought because of Of good reviews, sent it back after two repairs in 3 months. Could have just been a faulty one,

Product was damaged on arrival. I think it looks lovely and is good quality but the door was bent out of shape and doesn’t shut. New one apparently coming tomorrow

Not British Leyland, but no Rolls Royce either

I try, when practical, to buy locally made components. This cooker is not bad by any means, but it certainly never exceeds modest expectations. Having two oven cavities is excellent. Both having windows wiuld have been nice, but little matter. The shelves/drawers are fiddly and don't work particularly smoothly. I imagine this will not improve over time. The ovens heat quickly, although the temperature gauge is very approximate, according to my oven thermometer. Fortunately I don't do too much baking, so precision isn't crucial for me. The hob is fine--the cast iron pot stands have little rubber feet to prevent scratching the hob surface, but these have all fallen off in the first fortnight. Again not crucial, but disappointing that they skimped on adhesive, which is fairly low-cost. The "wok burner" is only a wok burner if you are the kind of person who thinks a le creuset "wok" is actually a wok. Which is to say, someone who knows nothing about woks or cooking with them. It's shy at least 3KW of being close to a wok burner. But it's fine as "the big burner". The manual is a complete joke: possibly the worst I've ever seen (and I've seen some shockers). Fortunately it's a cooker, so fairly self-explanatory. In summary, better than it could have been, but not as good as I might have hoped.

Sadly, has to be exchanged due to an insulation fault giving of a bad odour. However the appliance cooks very well in both top and bottom oven, and looks very smart in the kitchen. The control knobs feel solid, and the oven linings are very easy to clean. The time clock is simple and easy to use, will take some patience to set up using the app, and you have to be in the same room for it to connect.

Nice product spoilt by a few glitches

The Stoves cooker is good quality overall but there are some annoying things which mean it doesn't get five stars. Firstly, I had to pay £50 to Stoves to buy an LPG conversion kit and was told by the installer that with most of the cheap cookers these are included free. He also said that the replacement burners would have cost Stoves a few pennies, so Stoves were just taking advantage of me. Secondly, the badge on the front is not stuck on straight and this spoils the look of an otherwise nice looking cooker You'd expect better when you pay this sort of money.
