Good looking cooker, enhances the kitchen.

    5/5
Well made with an excellent finish to all the metal work. The cooker is quiet in operation and extremely efficient. It has ample insulation which ensures all the heat is kept in the areas that you want it, quite simply everyone can rustle up a three course meal on the Stoves Richmond 600DF. Just a great bit of kit that has made a big difference to our daily lives. given both of us more confidence when cooking. Nothing bad about the cooker.

    Fantastic product!

    5/5
I absolutely love my new cooker. I spent a long time reading reviews of all dual fuel cookers that were within our budget. Bearing in mind most reviews will highlight the negatives more than the positives. But I could see that the two negatives were consistent throughout the reviews. So the first negative was the smell from using the ovens for the first time. I can definitely clarify that it was very strong and we ran the ovens for a couple of hours. Once the smell disperses, the food is not at risk of being tainted by the smell. The second negative on most reviews highlighted that one of the rear burners can be tricky to light. Fortunately, all our burners lights effortlessly. The fan assisted oven cooks food evenly and to the cooking time that is given. The oven and hob are easy to clean. The cooker looks robust and pleasing to the eye. In fact it really up lifts the look of our kitchen. This cooker took the stress out of cooking Christmas Dinner. Especially as Christmas day was the first time we used it!

Not British Leyland, but no Rolls Royce either

I try, when practical, to buy locally made components. This cooker is not bad by any means, but it certainly never exceeds modest expectations. Having two oven cavities is excellent. Both having windows wiuld have been nice, but little matter. The shelves/drawers are fiddly and don't work particularly smoothly. I imagine this will not improve over time. The ovens heat quickly, although the temperature gauge is very approximate, according to my oven thermometer. Fortunately I don't do too much baking, so precision isn't crucial for me. The hob is fine--the cast iron pot stands have little rubber feet to prevent scratching the hob surface, but these have all fallen off in the first fortnight. Again not crucial, but disappointing that they skimped on adhesive, which is fairly low-cost. The "wok burner" is only a wok burner if you are the kind of person who thinks a le creuset "wok" is actually a wok. Which is to say, someone who knows nothing about woks or cooking with them. It's shy at least 3KW of being close to a wok burner. But it's fine as "the big burner". The manual is a complete joke: possibly the worst I've ever seen (and I've seen some shockers). Fortunately it's a cooker, so fairly self-explanatory. In summary, better than it could have been, but not as good as I might have hoped.

Extremely pleased with the product. Love the iron hob cover, very sturdy. Cooker looks more expensive than it really is. Good solid product.

    Unfortunate omission

    4/5
I am very pleased with the appearance and performance of the cooker, but the absence of a handle on the grill pan could result in accidental burning when in use.
