    Damaged on Delivery

    2/5
I love Bosch gas hobs, but this was a bitter disappointment. The hob arrived speedily and in safe packaging. However one unpacked both the gas installer and myself noticed a dent in the front edge of the stainless steel hob. On further inspection we noticed that the polystyrene packaging and the box were in pristine condition. Therefore the damage must have occurred at the Bosch production process before the hob was packaged. The company clearly need a better QA system for their products.

    Poor quality, cheap looking

Good points: It works. Bad points: - Very thin 'tinny' stainless steel used. - It looks cheap and sounds cheap when you put a pan on - The pan stands are very thin adding to the look of cheapness - There is a very loud 'click' when the thermo-couples cause the gas valves to shut off - I wouldn't recommend this product

It is not brilliant but it is not bad. Doubt it will last very long as nothing seems to these days.

    Bad fixings

Disappointed with the fixings for the hob, husband had to modify them as they weren't holding the hob down, read this on some other reviews and some people ended using silicon to hold it down

    Does the job

The actual hob functions well, and the design is great, looks good. The reason I've given it 3 stars is that the surface is hard to clean. The day after installation these little marks appeared on the surface. Had not even used it yet. I cleaned with soapy water as recommended but the marks are still there although did fade slightly. Had to give it some elbow grease though. I'm even thinking it's faulty...? A little disappointed as I would expect more from the Bosch brand.

I wanted a stainless steel hob to match my oven. The metal pan support stands very proud of the hob itself. But simple and straightforward. Could do with a child lock though.

The hob lacks weight. It is very tin- like and doesn’t seem as strong as my previous one (neff) . Cost is very good though. I am concerned about the quality and wonder if I should have gone for s more expensive better quality hob.
