    Top product

This was a great value purchase that went very smoothly. it was a product bought to replace a micro wave we have had for over 6 years. Same model updated. It was exactly what we wanted easy to set up and works perfectly. It arrived exactly on time with lots of updates on progress. Faultless. Thank you.

no light ever came on and the turn table never worked from day 1! Second product I've bought from AO that was faulty from the get go!

Door Seal Problems on convection setting when fan assists.

Fantastic 5 Star Service from AO. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the Panasonic Combination Microwave. If you want a product that blasts steam through the edges of the door when the fan kicks in (on convection), this is the product for you. (According to the Panasonic Engineer it's quite normal).

Very under engineered microwave. It has several faults, known to Panasonic which become apparent when using. The main problem with this oven is the action of the glass turntable. When under power it judders and does not turn smooth and evenly. This is caused by three things. The drive motor has poor drive bearings, the transfer drive dog which is a very poor fit on the motor shaft, does not deliver equal forces to the turntable due to its design of a one sided contact drive and finally the turntable support wheels which the glass turntable sits on, has had to be modified, so you may be supplied with a faulty support wheel assembly from new. I’ve had this repaired after 4 months of light use. All three parts have been replaced but the result is only marginally better. The drive dog that engages with the glass turntable slips round every so often then ‘clunks’ as the drive dog engages again. Very, very poor engineering design. One more thing, I live in the north west, if you call out an engineer within the guarantee period, I had to pay a £40 fee, only refundable if they deemed the repair genuine! Good luck if you’ve decided to buy this oven.

    Turntable doesn’t work !

Delivery was quick however on trying it out discovered the turntable doesn’t work. We rang AO where we bought it and was told to get in touch directly with Panasonic -the manufacturer. We did that and they said we had to get in touch with AO and get AO to get in touch with them ...... we’re getting nowhere !

    Convection and grill functions inadequate

    2/5
This is an amendment of my previous review of this model soon after I bought it. I compared it unfavourably then with my previous Panasonic combination microwave but gave it 4 stars. With more experience, my opinion of it has gone down substantially. The convection function is inadequate since the oven is much hotter at the top than lower down which makes it unsuitable for most kinds of baking and the grill is not nearly hot enough, eg a gratinee dish put under it was not browned on top in 12 minutes. I would love to have my old one back and working. It was perfect for baking in small batches and, unlike its replacement, I could get 2 "shelves" of rolls, tarts or scones in it at once. I dare not attempt a cake in this thing. It is not worth the risk of wasting the ingredients.

A little slow to warm up food , cheap plastic stands , will slide back when you push door open button, overall not impressed at all , will not buy again

Not that easy to operate on the multifunction programs for certain foods. Auto programs seem ok. Annoyingly, there’s no second selection timer, for blasting butter from the chiller. You have to set to multiples of 10 seconds. May sound picky but you need to watch the timer count down then cancel the timer. 1/4kg of butter from my chiller takes exactly 12 seconds or you end up with ‘ghee’. All in all it’s a good buy, but if you’re not a little ‘tekky’ then you won’t be using all of its clever functions.
