The Samsung combination microwave oven has been a great replacement for our ageing microwave. The unit is a little bigger than the old one but it fits fine on a 600mm deep worktop. The microwave is easy to setup and come with a range of racks and crisping tray. Huge range of functions on top of microwave only, the oven function is quick to heat up and cooks frozen chips and pizza to a crisp finish, the defrost function works well and there is even a setting for proving dough. Its a bit more expensive than a microwave only but well worth it for the extra features so much it can easily act as the only cooking unit for many meals.

Only used a few times but cooks really well like the hot blast function, need to keep the manual nearby as quite complicated

The Samsung MC28M6075 Microwave Oven has so far proven to be a really good addition to our kitchen. Having just moved home and not having a lot of time to prepare meals, it's been fab to have something we can easily reheat meals in, and even make snacks using the handy grill setting for things such as cheese on toast (which comes out just like it would under the normal grill)! One of the things we have noticed about the microwave is the high power it has and therefore the speed at which it heats food, which is always good. It's something we will opt to use over the normal oven/grill as it's much quicker to use and preheat. We have yet to explore using all the different settings is has, but will certainly get through them all at some stage. We think it is a good looking product and has a simplistic look which we like and are generally really happy with its performance so far.

Noticed a few days after it arrived a couple of corners looked like it had a paint repair done on it, have a feeling it was a refurbished item we got. It broke 1 week after receiving, thought we'd go down the warranty route to get a fix, had to be sent away, the contractor Samsung use for their warranty repairs are awful, took over a month to be fixed and has now returned damaged, dented, scratched. Wish we'd just returned it back to AO.

Like most of these new devices it has 101 features, most you will never use. The microwave is easy to use, and it has a sensor system that can detect when the food is likely to be cooked. In most cases I just want to microwave some food, and that seems easy enough. The door is easy to see into, so you can watch as your microwave meal explodes over the inside of your nice clean microwave.

Easy to use, controls are simple and intuitive. You will need to experiment with the different modes in order to get good results though. The auto modes don't always work as they are designed for very specific food weights, but if you use the manual combi modes you get more control. First thing we tried was the potato gratin recipe and although it came out the oven with a nice crispy top, the potato was still hard inside. Five extra minutes microwaving and that softened the potato but dried out the gratin. For the second attempt, added a little more liquid and sliced the potato thinner than the recipe said, and the results were much better. Once you get the hang of it, you'll find it's a decent bit of kit.

The number of possible functions is mind boggling. I particularly like the sense mode for heating liquids like milk. The only reason it is not 5 stars is that the instructions are not great. For example it talks about a table for the crusty plate but there is no table.

This Samsung Microwave was bought to replace a totally useless one. We bought a cheap one as back up to one we already have. Having read all the specs and the reviews from others, I decided that the Samsung was suitable for what we wanted, and it has proved to be a great microwave. It's many functions are easy to navigate and so far have produced great results. .
