A great machine to have in the kitchen

    4/5
After replacing my old microwave of 12 years, I was a little surprised at how much technology was packed into microwaves these days. In fact, i was a little bewildered at the numerous functions which could be had by so-called combination microwaves. One of the functions which caught my eye of this particular Samsung microwave was it's ability to air fry. This would save me some much needed room on my counter-top as I wouldn't need to buy a separate device to air fry things (and likely saved me money too). Another great feature I like is the 'Hot Blast Auto' feature. Essentially this automatically cooks things to perfection by monitoring the moisture levels in your food. We tried it with pizza and it browned the toppings nicely, but left the dough base somewhere between moist and crisp. A hard thing to describe but basically it did a much better job than my oven could has done for ten years which mostly just burned the outer crust or left the topping slightly uncooked. A well worthwhile investment I believe if you are looking to buy a new microwave and an air fryer as we were. This will do both and a whole lot more for a reasonable price. It's very easy to use and very easy to clean - and silver things are normally a nightmare.

    Unusable after 2 years

    1/5
OK for 2 years and then the panel buttons started not responding. This seems to be a really common fault with Samsung microwaves and it's now unusable as the 'Start' button doesn't work. Samsung refused to acknowledge any fault and AO are impossible to contact - avoid.

    Lots to learn

    3/5
Not sure what to think. Quite complicated to work out. Blast cooking quite annoying to listen to and handle not in a very convenient place to use comfortably. Otherwise I think it will take time to get used to all the different settings. Browning tray warped . Looks nice though.

Start button broke after two years

    1/5
Bought this product from AO in May 2021. For the past year the start button has been acting up but still working. Today, the start button no longer works but all the other buttons are fine. Great that the other buttons work but it's useless if I can't turn the machine on. If you go to the Samsung website and read the reviews there, this microwave has bad reviews and it seems that about 2 years in, this same issue is happening to many others. Stay away. Now the microwave is out of warranty

    Poor after care service

    1/5
This product is very good when it works but known industry fault with control buttons and sadly AO take no responsibility for repair even when due to the comsumer goods act it should work for at least 6 years after purchase The 6 years is to curb land fill and products should be repair in stead AO as a company it would appear dont care about the after care shame

Really good combo microwave and a definite upgrade to our old faithful

    4/5
Great oven, good size and seems well built. Many aspects are very intuitive and well built. Overall we're very happy and this is definitely an upgrade to our Microwave of many years. It's difficult to use the more targeted programmes as they're all based on numbers so the manual has to be referenced each time, improvements would include: 1. A plasticised reference chart, table or something would be a great / practical addition or way to ensure all programmes can easily be referenced when cooking. 2. The manual could be more user friendly, particularily explaining what each 'mode' essentially consists of, for example 'your over has 3 cooking/heating functions: (1) microwave, (2) convection over, (3) grill. Then 'Microwave is microwave only', 'Hot blast is a combination of xyz', etc. We were also a little disappointed in the 'hot blast' feature. We assumed this was similar as what other brands advertise as 'air fryer' mode and 'hot blast' was perhaps Samsung's proprietary feature. But basically 'hot blast' seems to be a combination of grill / convection oven / microwave -- we're still figuring this out. And we're not sure how this matches or differentiates from other brands that advertise 'air fryer' mode, which would be nice to understand.

    Poor product

DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE. The buttons fail after approximately 18 months and this problem seems to affect many other customers.
