The cooker was extremely well packed in polystyrene with wooden batons protecting all areas of the product with a cardboard outer and shrink wrapped to finish, very impressed with this.
Wiring up was easy although like most products nowadays the electrical terminals were not over engineered like our old cooker but that's how it is these days and no reflection on this product. In fact the build quality seems very good.
We did see this model in a shop and were impressed by the build quality especially the knobs. On another cooker of a different make knobs had come off - on two different models!
The ceramic hobs come on very quickly as do the ovens, we found that the top oven especially seems to heat up and maybe gets hotter than what the dial says but it's just a matter of reducing the setting, maybe it's because the oven is smaller than our old one and we're still getting used to it?
What we do miss is a proper handle on the grill pan, with this one you have to use oven gloves to remove the pan which is a bit of a bother but something we will have to get used to.
The cooker is quite smart with its chrome effect knobs which are very firm in feel, not wobbly like other cookers.
There are vents at the back where steam emerges when the oven is on and this is quite normal.
We are going to get some sort of worktop protector to go over the top of the cooker as we are concerned something will drop into the ceramic and break it. If you bought the solid hob version this wouldn't be a problem.
Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.
