Badly designed and disappointing basic cooker.

    1/5
I'm afraid this is the worst cooker I have ever had. In the few months I have had it, the ignition has completely stopped working; the ignition button has become fully depressed: one of hobb controls has melted and several of the other controls have become discoloured. The cooker control panel is so badly designed ( controls at a bad angle and made of inadequate materials ) that Indesit have had to supply a detachable metal shield which you are supposed to balance on the open oven door when grilling anything to prevent damage to the controls. (Why don't they reposition the controls and make them from a more suitable material ) The shield keeps dropping off with a clang and is a real faff to use. Even a basic cooker should be better than this. Would not recommend.

    NEVER AGAIN!!

    1/5
Totally disappointed. To sell and distribute a nearly £300 cooker with grilling facilities and 5 potential shelves to cook food on, and supply the purchaser with 1 shelf and 1drip tray to be the sole cooking aids is an absolute disgrace. I rang up to see where the griller was and was to use the shelf with the drip tray under it and go and buy some oven gloves to get the food out of the oven. Me being 74 next week with thin skin issues had to go and buy a grill pan for my newly purchased cooker. I also asked how you cook different items on other shelves if there is no shelves. I was offered an exchange for a twin oven (no discount) but having paid an engineer to connect it up. It would have cost me more money which i havent got .Thats why I bought the single oven because thats all I could afford in the first place. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!

    Waste of money

Has never got above 200 degrees and had engineer out a week after, no replacement so having to wait in for the to come back to fit a part this week. Not been able to cook since it was delivered 3 weeks ago. Shambles.

    Rubish

    1/5
Rubish flames come from the bottom of the oven and inside of the shell of the oven instead of the back everything you cook is burnt on the bottom from the heat under it the food don't cook evenly I will have to buy anther oven now in a few weeks to replace this one

    falls short on many points

Great little cooker, ideal for a small kitchen, only drawbacks are the drop down oven which is awkward in our narrow kitchen,as you have to close the oven door to get past, and the grill design is idiotic in the least. having to prop the door open with a bit of old tin plate , and then not having a handle for the grill pan is a joke!!! the levelling feet are crappy plastic screws, and look as if they wont last long I suppose you get what you pay for......

    Hob great oven not so.

The hob is great. Unfortuntly the oven is veryn inaccurate and temperature is unstable. I have to use a very use a very accurate ETI digital oven thermometer all the time.

Gets the job done but fidgety to start

    3/5
Works well but the cooker switches off when you take your finger off the ignition sometimes. Needs a few tries. Still, better than the one we had earlier. Just feels like it could be a bit better.

    OK product, great service

    3/5
It is ok except that the oven temperature is difficult to read. The 2 shelves are in fact the grill pan as a solid shelf, and the grill insert as a shelf. It works well, but the above comments are worth considering
