The hob works great - very fast, easy to control. Just what you expect from an induction hob. The problem is that it is a fragile thing. Despite being very careful we had some light scratching on the surface within a week of use. Also the corners are a weak point. Again within a week one of ours has chipped - don’t know how this happened, didn’t drop anything on it. We are not overly rough! We had a ceramic hob previously for 4 years and that had one scratch on at the end of that period.

Sensi boil function not working

Thought it would come with a template for cutting worktop, if you try to fit it in standard 600mm wide worktop,recommended distance between rear of appliance and wall will bring it to far forward to front edge. No brackets to clamp it down tight, just spring loaded clips. Overall, works well, but sensor boil doesn't seem to work.

Loud when on full power but really quick to heat up pans. Major disappointment is how easily it scratches though.

Its energy efficiency and safety features, such as the automatic shut-off and child lock, provide peace of mind, especially in a busy household. The AEG hob is a solid choice for those looking to switch from gas to induction cooking. While the auto-boil feature may require some patience, the hob's performance, ease of cleaning, and safety features make it a commendable choice for modern kitchens.

Great quality Easy to install The sense boil function is overrated and limited in usefulness given its cost premium over the model which does not include this.

I'm taking off a start due to the key feature of this hob not being suitable explained until you buy it and read the manual. SenseBoil. Claims it can detect when a pan is going to boil over, and switch back to a lower temp. And it can, but ONLY if you use the "right" pans. Using non-stick will fail, for instance. Otherwise, this induction hob is amazing.

Nice streamlined product. The temperature range for the induction rings is a bit odd- up to level 14 rather than 10 but works well
