Conked out after less than 2 years. Hotpoint customer care is useless.

    1/5
Buyer beware. Be careful with this one. Mine is on the blink after less than 2 years. It worked well at first. Recently, it began turning itself on for no reason. Now the power has gone completely. Hotpoint want to send a repair man out but won't say how much it costs to get him to visit. I wasn't asking for the cost of repair but just the call out fee? Hotpoint are just after your money and little service from them. I'll be looking elsewhere for a replacement if needed. Hotpoint's after sales service is atrocious.

    Disappointing product and service

    1/5
Not one to write negative reviews but this has been without doubt the worst appliance I’ve ever purchased. Perhaps unlucky as other seem to have got more from theirs but has been constant issues; not starting for no apparent reason, rarely completes a cycle without just stopping and needing draining, got engineer out as issue with door stuck. Within warranty but his solution was to turn off the feature of the door opening when completed. This is one of the usps of the product and now no longer does it. Since warranty ended all the other issues have materialised and Customer Service have no interest in helping without charging for call-outs despite a 10year guarantee on parts of those parts break the cost of replacement exceeds the cost of the parts themselves. Overall clearly very disappointed with both the product and service from Hotpoint.

Not as good as old dishwasher

    1/5
This is not the model that I brought just over a month ago (HIC 3C28 WUK N ) This model does not show on AO site anymore but this model seems to be almost the same. But my model does not clean items and does not dry them like my old Hotpoint dishwasher did and that had a lot less so called programs to use. Very disappointed in my new one would not buy another one if this is how they now are.

    Small plates only

    1/5
The machine cleans well, is quiet and there are a good selection of programmes. The issue that I have with the appliance is that it can't wash more than 4-5 large plates (26cm) or chopping boards due to the rotating wash blade striking the plates. This all but removes 90% usage of the entire bottom draw. If you can't use the appliances to it's maximum each and every wash then it has some serious environmental issues. Wish I hadn't purchased it as I can't use it the same way as my last.

    Fault after only 5 months

    1/5
Had this unit for 5 months. Already a fault with the flood sensor, so it keeps thinking there is water in it. Having to wait 3.5 weeks for a Hotpoint engineer to come out. Definitely wouldn't recommend as gone wrong so quick and the ' garentee ' is so poorly backed up. The Hotpoint service line is also more like a salesline to get you to spend more money on products and extra cover for repairs etc. Andy

Avoid this device and their fitting service

    1/5
Normal sized plates do not fit in the bottom without hitting the water blade that spins. Top draw also is a bit odd in that it doesn't fit normal size glasses well either. We also used their fully fitted service where they damaged our work top and cupboards. Overall not happy at all.

    Not a good design

    2/5
Don't think it's designed well. Narrow dish rack means even normal size dinner plates remain upright and touches the blade. Upper rack is fitted bit lower. Same thing with upper rack, groves for bowls too narrow. Avoid if possible
