    Samsung dishwasher

    3/5
Not overly impressed wash programmes too long and dish racks we find awkward but we may get used too.

Oh, how I wish I'd taken note of other reviews ...

    2/5
Its my own fault. I read the reviews, but really, really wanted a Samsung, as my other appliances are Samsung. However, as other reviewers have said, you cannot fit "big" plates in (and our plates are 10.5 inches), without raising the upper basket. "Tall" glasses (Taller than the size of a mug) will not fit - they have to go on the lower basket. You cannot put things like baking trays in, as the plate spikes are just not wide enough to support this and this is a major disappointment to me. The cutlery shelf is good though - and, I have now discovered - can be shifted, so the basket below can accommodate slightly taller glasses, but only if you load the basket through this gap and shut them up at the same time. It does wash well though and dishes come out fairly dry. Programmes are long (but I've only used it twice, so far). It'll take some getting used to, but as the header says, I really wish I'd taken note of what other reviewers had said. Now I have to live with it until it breaks.

    Samsung dishwasher

    5/5
The dishwasher instructions were easy to understand and it was fitted in minutes. Several wash options. Its very quiet & the display telling you how long left is useful. Like the cutlery tray as creates much more space than a traditional basket. Easy to put sections up/down to be able to load saucepans & glasses etc as needed.

    Typical Samsung Quality

    5/5
As usual, Samsung's build quality shows from the word go. Clear, easy-to-follow instructions made installation a doddle. Easily re-configurable plate racks and cutlery trays enable a wide variety of loading options and the large selection of programs allow proper cleansing without effort.

    Absolutely Hate It

DO NOT BUY The only reason I bought this dishwasher is because we were desperate and I couldn’t get the Bosch one I wanted as it wasn’t in stock. So, after hours of trawling through the internet I thought that this Samsung one looked really good for the price. It arrived and looked great, lots of programmes which made sense, once we had deciphered the poorly proof read instruction book. (This should have rung warning bells as Bosch and Siemens instruction books are pretty much perfect). Then I went to use it. I pulled the drawers in and out a few times and felt the middle one didn’t lineup properly unless you jiggle it, worse when it’s weighed down with crockery. The bottom one also got stuck and came off it’s rails when trying to get it in. I started to load it and could not find a sensible way of fitting mugs and glasses into the top basket. The angles and depths of the ‘shelves’ incorporated into the baskets, are not big enough to fit glasses and cups on without them sliding off. The prongs in both baskets are too close together and you can’t fit different size plates and bowls in without removing everything and reloading it every time you add some crockery. I’ve also discovered the problem other reviewers have commented about, which is not being able to fit plates in the bottom with pint glasses in the top, unless you do some complicated manoeuvring of the shelves, this still didn’t leave the plates clear of the impeller. How absolutely ridiculous. Also, the cutlery tray at the top is just a gimmick. It is really fiddly to fit all of the cutlery next to each other and isn’t grippy enough so cutlery slides to the middle. It took me so long to load the cutlery that I could have washed it up faster. The 1 hour fast wash seemed great as all other wash cycles are really long, but it failed to wash the dishes properly and there was a lot of dirty water residue on top of all the mugs. The load was only lightly soiled as well. My final gripe is that the cap for the rinse aid compartment comes completely away. In all the other dishwasher I have had experience of using the ‘cap’ has been incorporated into a lift up flap that stays attached. I could see this new one going missing. Anyway, my husband is unplugging it later and I’d rather stick with my 10 year old Bosch that’s falling apart but still works.

    Poorly designed

    2/5
Poorly designed, will not fit plates more than 10 inch diameter unless you raise the upper basket, which means you cannot fit glasses more than the size of a standard mug in, unless you remove the cutlery tray. Also, you cannot fit standard size baking trays in it at all - the plate spikes are not wide enough. You also cannot load wine glasses or any stemmed glass at all. Think long and hard whether these points are what's useful to you. You cannot return this dishwasher and yet your money back if you have used it - and you won't know if this works for you, until you've tried it. (Not a fault on AO, this is standard for anywhere) overall, I wish I'd read and understood the other reviewers comments, instead of being hellbent on getting a Samsung dishwasher. Very disappointed.
