Really simple set up and some great features. As ever with Samsung looks great too.

Super simple to set up both with the direct drain and with the Smart Things / Wifi. Cracks me up whenever my dryer lets my phone and my TV know that the cycle is done. (But no more deliberate procrastinating... "whoops - I didn't realise it had finished" :-D ) Power consumption much lower and actually doesn't take much more time to dry a load, which is great. Now we just want to get the Wifi washer so they can talk to each other.

Despite the negative reviews re speed I felt this dryer dried faster than my old condenser dryer. It's quiet, spacious and leaves clothes soft and fluffy. App was very hard to find as it doesn't use Samsung's app but a multi partner app called Smart things. Once set up it was very easy to operate via app and the integrated clothes quizz helps you find the most appropriate cycle for the load. internal lght is so insignificant it almost like it isn't there so that's a bad point.

As always with any Samsung product, you get what’s on the label. No fuss no nonsense. A happy wife is a happy life!

I have only used this dryer a few times but so far it is exceeding my expectations. Its very easy to operate (once i figured how to change the language from German which it came programmed with to English- that took a while!). Which is good as the instructions are minimal. drys the clothes perfectly and they are not left too creased. filter is easy to clean and the water tank easy to empty. Its nice and quiet. So far very impressed and very happy

So in the interest of full disclosure, I have never had a tumble dryer before so can't compare this to anything else. That being said... This is GREAT! I was hesitant about buying something this pricy (I know it's not the most expensive out there and is probably considered mid-priced but for us this was a considered purchase) when there were cheaper versions out there. However, the efficiency and practicality of this machine makes it worth it. Ours is situated under the stairs on a tiled floor in an average sized 3 bed end terrace and it is so quiet! We can barely hear it. The app is great (I was dubious about the 'point' of it initially) as it can help you pick the best cycle for the items in the machine, it tells you how long is left on the cycle and also rough costs for use. I have used it several times now, testing all but 1 of the cycles and all have come out dry apart from 1 sheet which was ever so slightly damp in places. I will say this though... it was only on setting 2 (so not the super dry setting) and I had ignored the suggested setting/items mentioned in the app so it was probably my fault. All it needed was a quick blast on the shortest timed cycle and it was perfect. I love how it assesses how damp the items are and adjusts the cycle lenght accordingly. So, you could select the cotton cycle and it initially says it will take 2.5hrs (for example) and then it adjusts based on how quickly it's drying and the app will let you know it's only got 1.5hrs (for example). This is great for saving money and the environment. We have the series 5 washing machine and love it so this was always in the running as an option but it was recommended to us by someone and we would recommend it to someone else without any hesitation!

Not cheap by any means but I can still feel the money being saved in the way it dries, so I will certainly recover costs quickly compared against my old condensing machine
