Beware: Takes 2-3x Longer to Dry vs Vented Driers! But Overall a Good Product.
4/5
Pro: Can connect directly to waste pipe so no need to empty tank ever
Pro: Looks great and has internal light
Pro: Lots of modes and options
Con: Takes 2-3x longer to dry than a Vented/Pipe dryer!
Con: Too many modes/spins, no straight forward "go for X minutes" option
Great detail not mentioned, it comes with a pipe so you can connect the water reservoir to your waste pipe like the washing machine, meaning you don't have to empty the water box - ever!
Looks great, fits great, cool light inside.
Biggest downside that no one seems to mention with Heat Pumps - they take A LOT longer to dry. On my normal vented/pipe tumble dryer a load would take around 90 minutes, on this Beko it took over 3 hours! This is a bit of an issue as the washing machine takes about and hour so you have to wait until the dryer is done with wet clothes in the machine or delay the next wash loads.
And if it's taking 3 times longer to dry the clothes, is it really more energy efficient?
There are also a lot of spin options but no simple "go for X minutes" option. My old vented dryer was a timer dial, hot or warm, turn the dial for the exact minutes you wanted. With this Beko if your clothes take 20 minutes, you have to use the 55 minute spin. If they take 90 minutes you have to put it on for 3 hours etc or remember to come back and stop it when you want.
If you love washing and drying and sorting clothes into 50 different piles by fabric, thickness, colour and size, you'll love this. Otherwise, it's a bit of a hassle for "just make it dry"
Jury is out on the energy saving, but overall seems pretty good.
