    Damaged item received

    1/5
Product arrived in sealed box but upon opening it was obvious it had not been properly put together or damaged at Bosch.Motor not fixed inside and hanging off. Light assembly and buttons not fixed. A screw and broken piece of plastic floating around inside. Looks like it was dropped or hit to one side at Bosch and then packaged up. Disgraceful.

    NOT HAPPY

    1/5
So noisy that we are seriously thinking of replacing it. I know this is a budget item and if it was just on full power that it was noisy that would be ok, but the low setting is no different and unacceptable. Do not buy this extractor if you want to be able to cook and talk to someone at the same time or even listen to the radio etc.

    Warning! Requires a separate filter

    1/5
I was very pleased finding a Bosch extractor hood at what I thought a reasonable price of just over £100. After installation the electrician pointed out that in fact I needed a separate filter which costs £60! This website makes no attempt to make that clear, nor do they sell the required filter. I feel cheated. It’s a little bit like buying a cheap printer and then finding that you constantly need to buy very expensive ink cartridges.

    Limited control over extraction rate/noise.

    2/5
On full speed the extraction rate of this cooker hood is very good... on full speed it is also EXTREMELY noisy. It really does assault your senses... if you stand below it attending to your your cooker/hob etc for more than a few minutes it makes your ears ring and it is a blessed relief when you switch it off or move well out of range. All extractor fans generate noise and when it’s on full speed this incredibly noisy fan is working hard to keep your kitchen clear so lots of noise is to be expected...full extraction is exactly what you need at certain times but full speed and high noise isn’t necessary all the time is it?... that’s why extractor fans of this type offer 3 selectable speed levels. Unfortunately this extractor offers no practical control over the speed and noise of the fan. To put it simply, speed 1=90%, speed 2=95%, speed 3=100%. The noise level on speed 3 is incredibly high but that is to be expected,...however, the noise level on speed 2 and speed 1 are totally unacceptable. There is no respite from the noise. I’ve had many 3-speed extractor fans over the years and speed 3 is always loud...which is to be expected. The other two settings always offer an appropriate speed control option...this Bosch extractor offers no meaningful option to control the speed. It's not rocket science is it. P.S. this extractor is advertised as Silver... the actual colour is Battleship Grey.

Noisy and difficult to fit but effective

    2/5
Not Bosch usual standard. It took the very experienced kitchen fitters a long time to install it and they said it was very awkward to fit. It is extremely noisy even on level 1. However it does seem to work pretty effectively but I would not recommend it because of the noise level which is excessive.

    Pros and cons

    3/5
The cooker hood seems well made and it effectively removes the steam, smells etc produced when the hob is in use. However, there are three settings for the speed of the fan but they too powerful which means that even on the lowest setting it is very noisy.

bosch by name, would expect the filters with it

Good price cooker hood, little surprised that you have to buy your first filters to go with it separately.

    Ok but could be better

    3/5
This is ok but quite tricky to install. It’s also very loud. The black button section inside is made of very cheap plastic and is very flimsy! Wasn’t massively impressed. Filters are easy to remove and place back inside after cleaning. Instructions could also be better too.
