    Straightforward Fitting - Bosch Extractor

    5/5
Having never fitted a kitchen extractor before, I found the instructions and templates really easy to use and follow. Looks good and relatively quiet. ...... and not expensive either.

    Perfect replacement

    5/5
I found the replacement cooker extractor easy to install, with only slight modification to the rear of my unit, for the extraction pipe, but easy to understand instructions

Easy to Install and Simple Instructions to Use

    4/5
I brought this to replace a very old existing integrated unit by another manufacturer and overall, it was almost a like-for-like swap between the two but with updated features. The reviews for this unit were generally all positive when I read them. In terms of installing it, I would describe myself as a competent DIYer and it was quite a straight-forward process. There are various holes to each side of the unit, which made it easier to near enough match up to the old holes so I could see that the position is correct. There are also rear brackets if you are looking to affix-it to the wall instead. The only tricky part was affixing the pull-out cover onto the cover door but in the instruction pack, it does include instructions on to do this. I like the removable and dishwasher-safe grease panels, which should negate the need for me to constantly purchase the filter paper. In terms of the fan noise, I knew that these integrated units by its nature will never be near silent but I was surprised that it is a lot bearable compared to my old unit. The twin LED lights are also a lot brighter. The power cable is also separate to the unit with a power plug connected, so it is like ‘plug and play’ when you have finished installing it, without having the cable getting in the way at the start. The only main criticism I have is that it does not include the carbon filters (it needs to two) to cover the fans on either side. I would say that given the price that the unit costs, it should be provided so that it can be used straight away as I did not know the size of the filter needed until I opened it. Even the instructions do not fully describe the size needed as well. Overall though, I will still recommend this unit.

    A Powerful Beast

    5/5
It was relatively easy to install and is a very powerful extractor. No complaints so far!

    Limited control over extraction rate/noise.

    2/5
On full speed the extraction rate of this cooker hood is very good... on full speed it is also EXTREMELY noisy. It really does assault your senses... if you stand below it attending to your your cooker/hob etc for more than a few minutes it makes your ears ring and it is a blessed relief when you switch it off or move well out of range. All extractor fans generate noise and when it’s on full speed this incredibly noisy fan is working hard to keep your kitchen clear so lots of noise is to be expected...full extraction is exactly what you need at certain times but full speed and high noise isn’t necessary all the time is it?... that’s why extractor fans of this type offer 3 selectable speed levels. Unfortunately this extractor offers no practical control over the speed and noise of the fan. To put it simply, speed 1=90%, speed 2=95%, speed 3=100%. The noise level on speed 3 is incredibly high but that is to be expected,...however, the noise level on speed 2 and speed 1 are totally unacceptable. There is no respite from the noise. I’ve had many 3-speed extractor fans over the years and speed 3 is always loud...which is to be expected. The other two settings always offer an appropriate speed control option...this Bosch extractor offers no meaningful option to control the speed. It's not rocket science is it. P.S. this extractor is advertised as Silver... the actual colour is Battleship Grey.

Does what it says on the tin

    5/5
Excellent product - much more efficient than our old cooker hood. Good lighting and smooth action of the hood itself. Very pleased all round.

    Very Good

    5/5
Very smart appliance, very easy to install and looks very smart. Simple to use and very quite motor when running. Very nice feature is just open the hood a little for the light to come on. Would recommend to anyone looking for a extractor hood.

    Quite loud, but good extraction

    5/5
It's as loud as other extractors that we have had in the past, but it integrated with our units very nicely and it seems to have good extraction and easy to clean filters. Until they invent a silent extractor hood, this is about as good as possible and I'm happy with it.
