A great product i have always used Hotpoint products and find them very reliable and you can expect a long user life and very cheap to run on the electricity with its A ratings i wouldnt hesitate to recommend this product to anyone looking to purchase a chest freezer.

bought to replace giant but energy-hungry old chest freezer. 25% less capacity but that should be more efficient. Much thicker walls than old models. CAUTION - handle is not included in size description, so freezer won't go through a standard door. Take doors off if you can before delivery, and be prepared to remove and replace handle. (AO install service was fabulous!) Lock is very flimsy so don't bother, key likely to break. castors on front only, not rear which is a classic millennial design foul-up, not much use. Also there are FIVE transit spacers fitted, not four as per instructions. Fifth spacer is at back so don't miss it. This distorted the seal hence excess frost, at time of review we think we've fixed this. Lid can be opened again without waiting 5-10 minutes, that's a welcome change from the old freezer. If transferring baskets from an old freezer (as we have) make sure the supplied baskets aren't standing proud or this will also affect seal and add frost. Compressor is noisy when running, but doesn't run that much now freezer is full, this is good. 4 days in - cautious optimism that this is a good purchase.

Appalling! Plugged it in and it didn’t work! Got to wait for hotpoint engineer to come out because ao abdicated all responsibility for a faulty appliance. My contract was with ao so they should have replaced freezer no quibble. Disgusting company and will never buy from them again.

We bought this to replace a broken upright freezer, it’s bigger than we expected but has plenty of storage so we shouldn’t be overfilling this one in a hurry. Was ready to go very shortly after plugging it in, the two baskets are really handy for the items used most frequently. Could do with some dividers in there to sort things out better

This product is a lovely large freezer ideal for a family , it’s size a price make it very desirable. It’s very quiet and it doesn’t get great build up’s of ice as it say’s in the product description. I am one very happy customer.

It works outside

Cannot really submit a fair review yet as I’ve had running for a week I have noticed compared to an old whirlpool which must be 10+ years old, the hotpoint is very light weight and feels a bit plastic which to me suggests the quality is not as good as the Whirlpool its replacing, I would have kept the whirlpool as it was only a seal which had gone but the price for a replacement part wasn't worth the repair considering its age and the fact the unit might break down soon. I have found the hotpoint is also noisy in comparison when it runs. It does however appear not to frost up like the whirlpool did, space inside is about the same, the quality of the baskets is not as good and again feel less robust. Has a lockable lid and is supplied with x1 key. The unit itself looks nice and clean in the house if thats your sort of thing, went with this model as it will eventually be used in an out building which isn't heated, the spec on this suggests it will be fine working in cooler conditions though which is why I picked it. Only time will tell whether this was a good choice compared to what else was available at a similar price point, the hotpoint does come with a 10 year parts guarantee. Delivery from AO went as planned, guys were fine on the day, no issues with that aspect at all.
