I am very new to cooking and preparing meals for a whole house, so it was a load off my shoulders when I was reccomended to use a steamer. I use it for su day dinners, rice bowls, potato mash and lots of other things. It also comes with a little leaflet telling you how much each veg/meat will need in the steamer to be done. Which is nice fpe newbies like me. It's definitely something you NEED in a kitchen.

Very ideal as we had no kitchen. Very easy to use.

As far as the steaming goes it seems to be ok, but time will tell. The instruction book gives steaming times for fresh food, but doesn’t for frozen food, so it’s just trial and error but that’s ok. I have only done veg so far and have overdone it twice, so must decrease cooking times by 5 min {20 min down to 15 min}.

Easy to use, but not comfortable to store away, trays slide off the base in storage.

Have had several steamers over the years, but the usual thing generally happens to them long before the motor burns out. The baskets get dropped, or they fall on the floor and crack and split instantly. The plastic this one is made of seems a lot more firm and rigid and a bit more rubbery Which should make it more durable . It is a bit larger than my last one and will be ideal for Christmas. Overall am very pleased with it.
