Do Not buy this appliance, the hob itself is attractive and works well, however after a few months of use scratches appeared where we were moving the saucepans around. We bought specialist cleaner and still no joy. We approached Zanussi and got this response which leaves us with a hob that looks terrible in our new kitchen "After carefully reviewing the images provided, we would advise that the marks on the hob appear to be scratches. Sadly there are no remedies to remove scratches and as this is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, we will not be in a position to authorise any further assistance with this matter. Scratches are usually only cosmetically based and do not have any bearing on the performance of the appliance itself. Please do check our terms and condition of warranty."

Within 2 days hob rings had marked and no clear instructions given either before or with purchase about precise saucepans to use. Disappointed.

The photo had been CGI'd and the additional 'lines' added to indicate a direction on the knobs did not, in fact exist! This led to a sense of disappointment and 'being cheated'. Photos that are not true photos misrepresent the product and do a dis-service to both Zanussi and AO. AO by contrast, were quick to respond and explore the issue. AO identified that it was a 'CGI' issue and were honest in explaining this. The product itself looks good (apart from the knobs lacking a directional arrow!) but I cannot comment on performance as we have not used the hob yet.

Delivery was good, we were kept informed of delivery time. My only complaint is on installation on the 230v connection (which the most common in the U.K.) I had to put my own link in between 1 & 2 I assumed it would be with the appliance. If it was I couldn't find it. .

Looks smart and does the job. Removed one star as I would prefer to have the largest rink of the back of the counter not the front.

It’s reasonable price. Although it doesn’t heat up so fast. But it does the job.

Ensure the current worktop recess is big enough for the new hob. If it isn’t, there is no guarantee the installers will be able to increase the size of the recess. I did phone AO a few days before delivery to tell them the current recess was too small - they said the installers would be able to adjust it. But on arrival, they did not have the adequate tools to make the pretty straightforward adjustment to the recess in my standard-size worktop. They had to take the hob away and cancel the order. I had to re-order and used my own electrician to fit the hob. Electrician discovered there was a lead missing that connects two of the terminals in the hob itself, so he had to fashion one himself. AO did give a full product, delivery, and installation refund, no quibbles, so that’s great service. Hob itself seems to be working well and looks great, but its early days. Moral – tread carefully with the AO installation option.

Nice looking hob. Works well. My only (minor) complaint is that the “off” position on the knobs could be better marked. My old hob had a white dot on each knob to indicate this.
