I ordered the appliance collection and recycle service for 2 appliances.
Collection team was rude upon arrival, and told us that they'd been waiting outside too long as I'd missed their phone call ten minutes earlier (they didn't bother to knock on the front door to check whether we were in or not).
Once they'd seen the appliances we needed to recycle, they told us they wouldn't have space in the van (even though this was literally the only service we'd paid for with AO). After much to-and-fro, complaining and a call to their head office (in front of us - so we heard the whole exchange) to try and skip collecting one of the items, it was finally agreed they would carry out the appliance collection and recycling as originally organised. To be honest, they could have disassembled and removed both of the appliances within all of the time they spent trying not to do the job.
At the end of the day, it's an appliance collection service - I don't expect great things, but as a minimum a customer shouldn't be told off in their own driveway for missing a phone call ten minutes earlier, and the team should be prepared to pick up items if that is the sole service which has been paid for and organised.
