    Great value versatile oven

    5/5
This oven is super stylish and its digital display gives it a really contemporary look, an added bonus is that it is also super easy to clean, our old oven had control knobs that were tricky to keep clean so the wipe clean aspect of this oven is very welcome. The door also has a soft close feature which is quite slick. Because of the digital display id say that Initially this oven looks overcomplicated as it has so many different settings however it comes with a daily reference guide which makes things really simple as it has illustrations taking you through each option – The oven comes with one wire shelf (personally I would have liked 2) a baking tray, a grill pan set and a drip tray – a really nice surprise was the addition of a turnspit and frame for cooking a whole chicken rotisserie style! I haven’t used this yet but definitely looking forward to trying it. The oven has 5 shelf guides (which can be removed for cleaning ) and the shelves and trays are really easy to slot in giving lots of options in terms of shelf height and layout. The touch sensitive control panel is the area where you switch the oven on and off, choose your setting (there are 2 options, Manual and Automatic but I’ll come back to that later) there is also a time display and navigation buttons for scrolling through the options, or going back to change your settings and there is also a confirmation button to accept your settings and a start button The Manual function will be the one used most frequently ( well it will for me at least) it gives you 9 options, the first being ‘conventional’ which is for cooking any kind of dish on one shelf, for example a casserole or a ready meal – the other options are convection (for meat or cakes) forced air (if you are using more than one shelf, pretty much a fan oven option I think) there’s also an ECO forced air option plus a grill and turbo grill option, and a quick preheat – this is also where you can change oven settings such as the clock display, volume etc. This oven has a really cool automatic clean option (I mean nobody likes scrubbing an oven right) which effectively burns off the stains leaving your oven clean without any effort (cant wait to try that one !) The Automatic Modes are pre set temperature and timings for everyday foods such as pizza, bread, pastry, cakes, poultry, meat, it also has options for slow cooking, proving dough and for keeping food warm. The handy leaflet has full details of the timings and temperatures and also the optimum shelf height and accessories needed for these. I have tried both - the manual conventional cooking gives you an option to set the heat of the oven and the time yourself and has a built in pre heat facility so you can put in your food at the optimum temperature – this also gives you the option to brown your food after (so great for crispy skin or pastry). I have also tried the automatic setting for frozen pizza and was really pleasantly surprised at the result, again the oven pre heats automatically and after 15 minutes was cooked to perfection All in all id say its really quite easy to use, it has a lot of functions that I personally might not use, I think it would be perfect for someone who does a lot of cooking and baking but also for the more unaccomplished cook like me, hopefully it might inspire me to improve my baking skills

Super quality oven for the perfect bake

    4/5
Easy to fit and easy to use once you got the hang of it. The many functions for cooking are excellent and provide the perfect cook. It's a huge oven at 73 litres capacity ; perfect for those big roasts. With a great viewing window and bright light to see inside. Easy to clean and very sturdy, as well as quiet when on . The timing settings allow you to relax and know your food will be cooked to perfection . Unfortunately the lack of LED lightening in the control panel makes it hard to read the keys especially in dim lightening and the clock is very small. And preheating the oven can take a while. Apart from this is a great oven and we'd highly recommend it. We'd rate the oven 4/5 stars!!!

Good cooking but poor cleaning and door glass cracked first time on self-clean

    2/5
Once we had got used to oven operating instructions it cooked really well. Great with spit for roasting and good range of different settings. Bought it to replace another Hotpoint pyrolytic oven when we had new kitchen fitted. Old oven was great at self-cleaning. We used the pyrolytic cleaning function on the new oven and it didn't clean oven whatsoever and glass oven door cracked in multiple places. Hotpoint customer service useless and refused to sort it. Now can't use oven until we pay £100+ to replace glass.

    Absolutely terrible

    1/5
If you would like an oven you can turn on easily don’t buy this one. If you want an oven that stays on if you open and close the door don’t buy this one. If you want an oven that thinks it is far far cleverer than you then buy this one! What a terrible thing

    Good oven..........but

    4/5
We've had this oven for a couple of months now, have cooked and baked all sorts in it. It didn't take long to get the hang of the controls. The oven It heats up quickly, cooks evenly and thoroughly, everything from a sponge cake to a joint of meat. The only disappointing feature is the Pyrolytic function, only takes a couple of hours but the clean was not very good, still had to clean burnt on grease from the inside of the door and from the back and front of the oven with some oven pride,

    Love it

    5/5
I love this oven. It has so many different functions which are really easy to master. It even lets you know which shelf to put your food on. I used to be a bit of a guesser when it came to preheating and timing my food, but with easy digital display and non intrusive (quite quiet) beep to let you know when the oven is preheated, my pain au chocolats have never been so crispy on the outside and soft in the inside! The rotisserie spit function is great too. Who doesn’t love a spinning chicken that ends up succulent with crispy skin? (Apart from vegetarians I suppose) In summary - this oven is easy to use, looks smart, and functions well. I love it

    It Gets Beter

    5/5
The more I use this oven the more I like it. Three heating eliments, an inteligent oven that allows the oven to use the fan as and when it warrented. A fast pre heat. Many funtions both manual and automatic.A turn spit included although not tested at this time. This is a bonus not mentioned in the sales adds. Still learning and enjoing the learning experince. Cons! Getting used to the touch controls rather than knobs. Progress!! All in all a good investment, I like it.
