    Do not recommend

    1/5
In hindsight I would not have bought this oven. Once installed it always felt about 10 degrees colder than our old oven and everything took much longer to cook. Eventually one heating element broke within the first 10 months. Thankfully it was covered by the manufacturers warranty but finding the number to get an engineer around was a palaver that took hours. The other issue with this oven is the timer and clock. Setting a straightforward timer seems impossible. One options insists the oven switches off at the sound of the timer, and the other ensures that once the oven come sup to temperature it will beep at you every few minutes until you open the door. We are not technophobes and it has been a classic case of buyers remorse.

    Great, whilst it lasted

Didn’t even last three years before the main control board went, rendering it uneconomical to repair. Hotpoint would only point to their 1 year warranty

Can't see the on / off button

    1/5
Good apart from absolutely no good for any one with poor vision or the elderly , the on / off button is black and not lit so just can't see it , and it's menu driven as you turn on you have to chose the function and temperature with the main knob , theirs 3 more button also don't light up very hard to see , god knows how it got passed the design stage of development!

    Save your money

Only had this oven since February and it has shown the error f03 twice. We have had to call them out to fix it because there is nothing you can do to fix it yourself, hotpoint even wanted to charge me for the second visit because it was the second time we called them out to the same problem!! Of course I told them no way would I be paying for a reacurring error and no way was I going to take an extended warranty on a rubbish oven! I have no doubt it will go a third time, probably when the one year warranty is up and I can safely say, I will NEVER have another hotpoint in my home EVER! Please, save your money

    Poor Oven

    2/5
From the start the oven seemed much cooler than the temperature selected with food not cooking or browning in the time selected. The timer is ludicrous as it turns the oven off at the end of the time selected. When you just need to check the progress or turn things this us very annoying. I want a timer that just rings to tell you to check the oven. The touch panel is very hard to read unless you crouch down to look at it straight on. To combat the temperature problem I bought a thermostat to leave in the oven and I usually have to add at least 10 degrees to the selected temperature to ensure food cooks properly. After a few months I called an engineer who checked and replaced several components, including the thermostat. He also told me not to use the 2 solid trays supplied as that could interfere with the heat getting to the whole oven??? He also, used my freestanding thermometer as a guide. Ha ha. All in all, I'm very disappointed wuth this oven as my previous, much more basic Hotpoint oven was great. I only changed following a kitchen refurb. I do not recommend this oven, and can't wait for it to fail do I can justify getting a different one.

    Unintuitive design

    2/5
Regrettable decision. This Oven perfectly sums up the need to create solutions to problems that didn’t exist. Not intuitive to use at all with a need to program upfront like you would a microwave with heat and time, after which it turns off!? So forget thinking I’ll just leave that roast or pizza for a few more minutes, nope you need to program it again. Had to buy a separate timer so I can use that instead to force the oven to stay on until I’m done.

    Unintuitive and nonsensical. Regrettable purchase

    2/5
Not intuitive to use and I consider myself savvy with Tech. This is also a good example of creating solutions for problems that didn’t exist. List is too huge but lowlight is preprogramming your temp and time upfront like a microwave, after which it turns off! So forget thinking I’ll just give that pizza another 2 minutes. Doesn’t indicate when it’s on and heating the oven except for initial warmup, grill turns off if you open the door etc etc. Regret this purchase.

    Unreliable, Overcomplicated

    3/5
unresponsive touch sensor controls, Elements fail quickly, the hydro wash system is a gimmick and doesn't help clean the oven. it just basically boils some water in the botom of the oven. The oven Cooks ok but it is overcomplicated. I'm looking for a replacement as ours has bitten the dust and is only just over 2 years old. I expected more reliability for this price.
