    Useless and incompetent

    1/5
Sadly there are very few gas build under double ovens. Our previous appliance was a Stoves however this had a gas grill. The new ones have an electric grill working off a normal 13 amp socket. The new extendable arms that the oven racks fit on are difficult to pull out and retract and apparently cannot be removed.God only knows how you are supposed to clean them!!! The seals do not go all the way around leaving a 5 inch gap at the top of each oven which allows a lot of heat to escape so obviously wasting gas. On the first time of using the grill the whole oven went dead !!!!..AO reluctantly agreed to replace the cooker. Then began a saga of ineptitude by the AO installation teams

    Rubbish product

This product was ordered as we were replacing a 19 years stoves oven and wanted to remain with a UK manufacture The quality is terrible. There is no grill light. The oven door swings back up when removing cooked food (my wife burnt her arm first time of use reported this to Stoves) The numbers for changing different gas levels are so small and in distinct that they should supply a torch and magnifying glass to be able to see these numbers I have given this product a 1 but it should be -1 We also wanted a cream finish to match kitchen but it appears no manufacturer does anything but black or stainless As you will observe we are not happy with this product

    So fed up

AO very good but the new cooker is faulty. Explained that I was going away when I rang on the 9th and had house sitter coming -first appointment available to repair was the 14th day I was flying out. The company they use Glen Dimplex are rude, have little knowledge of products, no engineer to speak to and totally hopeless. When repeating all this on Facebook etc. it would appear that I am not the only one suffering with a Stoves cooker that is totally useless and I consider dangerous. Just want it gone and now talking to credit card company

    Faulty new appliance

Delivery was good but the top oven had a fault and when I phoned to get it sorted I had to deal with stoves how gave me a 4 weeks wait for a engineer and is due this week, for a new appliance that’s appalling.

    Mediocre product

    3/5
Not as good as the Stoves oven that this one is replacing, especially the fact that the doors DO NOT lie down flat and no oven assisted fan this time. Also no handle with the grill tray and the grill heat is not variable. Markings for the controls should be on top and not on the bottom!!

    stoves gas oven

    3/5
Overall the functions well but there are some very irritating features. The telescopic shelves are a great feature but the rack keeps coming out of the arm fixing unless make a concious effort to push down, the opposite to what you do bending down to the oven. The other irritating feature is the markings around the knobs which are beneath them so its difficult to see what setting you have selected without bending down. It looks to me if the design is for a built in rather than built under oven.

    major design fault-gas settings

    3/5
This oven was delivered 29.11.11 and I have yet to cook anything to satisfaction. Stoves made a major error by using a built in facia design on a built-under model. With built-in, gas settings are at eye level - with built-under the only way to see them is to get down on haunches and use a magnifying or reading glasses. There is no way of choosing a specific setting. Gas knobs block the downward view, and the black groove marker on a square-ended knob is underneath when the knob is turned, as well as being black on black, which poses its own difficulty. Bad design
