Why is the lead so short???

It’s much better than our previous oven but I’m really surprised that nowhere mentions the ridiculously short lead. It’s about one meter, which is far too short. Also, be prepared for a blast of heat every time the oven door is opened. This might be standard when you have a normal oven working correctly, but it still surprises me every time. That said, the oven performs well and I’m pleased with the price.
