    Distressed Buyer...

    1/5
I am a little downbeat just now to be honest as I type these words & not sure exactly what to do. The delivery came exactly as asked, last Thursday. The drivers were top rate as usual. They deposited the stove upstairs in my hallway the day before my electrician, Kevin was scheduled to return after having completed a rewire of my house in June. I couldn't have been more excited. I'd bought three new induction compatible pans & my joiner, Leon spent days crafting & installing a beautiful floating oak shelf just above it. When he saw the shelf as he came to decommission the gas stove, Craig my plumber said he would have to condemn it as being too close to the stove, until I explained that Leon had worked diligently to create the perfect shelf to host a strip of LEDs that my electrician, Kevin himself had suggested & there would be no open flame with an induction hob. My spark showed face at 14:30 on Friday and unwrapped the stove. Then made a few phone calls before calling me up from the garden to tell me his rewire did not support the draw from this particular stove. Turns out he has to submit a letter to the Electricity Board (in Scotland) & now has to schedule another day to dig up my floor, once again, to install a superior cable to support this particular installation. He said he spoke to two other electricians who have never come across this issue. And, yesterday he informed me that he 'hopes' he can get back to me in the first week of October to conduct this second re-wire, which is going to further delay the completion of my floors & significantly increase the cost of this stove model. I'm a complete novice in house restoration. It's the first one I've attempted & have met with a bathroom flood that ruined my carpet (and upset the bloke downstairs). I've been living out of one room for the past three months & tried diligently to coordinate electrician, plumber, joiner, plasterer, tiler, & decorator. I had hoped it was all drawing to an end, because as novice in stove selecting as I am -- nothing in the details of this specification highlighted to me that this particular stove, as beautiful as it appeared, would create such a demand on the grid, or require my electrician to undertake his second rewire. And, now after my gas cooker was taken out Friday morning, ahead of this scheduled installation, I am without a cooker for the month of September. So, I write this review just now with the hope that I do win a refund for the cost of this stove & I hope it will work well, once I finally manage to get it installed & I hope that perhaps AO better highlight this (if they didn't already do so) in the product specification, so others meet with more joy in receipt as I did & I thank you for your attention...

    Scrap Metal.

Looks Fantastic. When it works , it works well. However within 6 months the cooker has tripped our RCD with element failures twice and now we have a 3 week wait before an engineer can get to us. Not like it was a cheap cooker. So , the lump of cream coloured scrap metal will certainly be the last Stoves product I purchase and I recommend caution in making a decision to buy. I won't go into any of the positives as the point of a review is the overall experience and that has been severely marred by an item that is not fit for purpose.

Took delivery of the cooker the ovens and grill are all brilliant but the front two of the induction jobs do not work at all. Poor let down for an expensive cooker. Engineer inbound but should never of got to my door like that.

This has been a disaster Ao smashed our old cooker getting it out, we are still finding the glass that was dropped inside and outside and not cleared up, when the cooker was fitted ( we paid extra for fitting and disposing of old appliance) the legs were not adjusted to match the rest of kitchen units we had to wait for another fitter to come out to rectify this, 2 days later the hob and top oven do not work, now waiting a week for an engineer to come out!!!

    Fiddly induction hob

Nice looking cooker. Let down by difficult controls on the induction stove. For example if a pan starts to over boil you have to press two buttons to turn it down

One of the best I've owned.

First one arrived faulty but was replaced within a week. Replacement one seems perfect so far. For an induction hob it does well at lower temperature cooking as well as the high heat. Recomend getting hob protectors for the glass, scratches quite easy. Not tried all the oven functions yet but as an oven it's quite good as distributing heat evenly.

    Great but room for improvement

Overall a great product but a couple of little niggles, the shelving spacing could be better as you cannot maximise the space in both of the ovens and the induction hob controls take some getting use to. Steam seems to come up from the main oven and condenses on the the top oven when in use. Fits in well with our Arga and is well built.
