The item is great. Hot oven and the hob gets to temperature quickly. Look is great, very chic. Clean lines. Looks expensive in kitchen. Stone hob cover very handy.

So far pleased with product and replacement oven was ordered and installed with six days.

Be aware that some Richmond 550e cookers (including mine) purport to have a safety feature which has been knowingly disabled by the manufacturer. The ceramic hob has a 'hot' warning symbol, but this does not illuminate when the hob has been used. After correspondence with Stoves, I have discovered that this is not a fault but is deliberate. The 550e model is no longer fitted with the relevant warning bulb under the glass. The manufacturer has used ceramic hobs with the warning symbol still present, making it appear this feature is still included. Neither sales information, packaging, user manual nor Stove website give any indication that this might be the case. Not only does this seem shoddy practice, but it clearly has the potential to be dangerous. I have raised the above issue with the manufacturers but despite ongoing email correspondence have yet to receive a satisfactory response.

This is our second cooker form this brand its great It would help if it came with 3 shelves . I cant think of anything I dont like about it.

I was searching for a 55cm cooker and this is most certainly tops. We are so, so pleased. Fantastic looking and well built. Even the quality of the packaging was impressive - including plenty of timber battens and polystyrene, so little chance of transit damage. The ceramic hob plates have good heat control and I can simmer/steam veg easily. I like it that the cast iron cover has a micro switch that isolates the hob plates, so they can't be accidently switched on should the cover be down - I found they actually switch the hob plates off as you lower the lid (but you should of course leave the lid up and let the ceramic top cool before closing!). The ovens have great control - a bright light in the main oven and while the top over isn't a "fan oven", there is a fan that blows over the top of oven and out over the facia and control dials (to cool the facia and control dials). Fans are quiet and I don't have to turn up the radio as I did with my old cooker! I've played around with the oven timer so it will switch on and off automatically - works well and easy to programme. I'm looking forward to saving on electric, compared to my old cooker, which tended to heat up the kitchen as much as the ovens!!
