First one had nasty scratch. AO offered money off or to replace and I chose the latter. It came quickly and the first was taken away. The replacement was shrink wrapped whereas the first one was just wound in clingfilm so I am suspicious that the first one was already a return. Some people might like money off but it was an obvious scratch that few would want. Hmm.

Excellent hob. One criticism I have is you have to be careful you don’t knock the knobs so that they are not in an upright position when not in use. Having said that no gas escapes so nothing gets turned on. Sturdy, heavy pan supports. Excellent. Much better than my previous expensive hob.

Fondly just had it installed. Easy to light not so noisy as my old one, seems to wipe clean easily

It's a very simple gas hob so there is not a lot of innovation in this space to talk about. It does however have a Bosch premium feel about it. I was sent a cheaper alternative by mistake (which AO customer services rectified extremely quickly - thanks AO!) and you can really tell the difference in quality vs other less premium alternatives. If you have other Bosch appliances, it helps keep the same look throughout the kitchen. The chrome scratches a little easier than expected but I assume this is the case with all chrome finishes. Nice product.

Nice looking easy to use gas hob

So far the hob is as advertised, controls good and the gas levels are easy to control. Looks very good in our kitchen.

It is efficient and the pan support grids are of heavy quality. I had side controls on my old hob, so am still adjusting to having them on the front! If you have a wok or large frying pan, it will obscure the left-hand knob, and even make it rather hot, but not a huge problem. If you need to use all four hobs at once, you will need to do some adjusting of pans. The fitted kitchen cupboard below needed to be moved forward to accommodate this hob, so the gas engineer will need to be aware of this. I am pleased with my new Bosch hob after 11 years of my old one, which I had disfigured by leaving kitchen cleaner on overnight, inadvertently. Beware!

Great to have a modern replacement for an oldie. The improvements are really good, some quite simple, others more sophisticated. All make a more efficient use of gas. Great.
