    A real faff, not pleased

    3/5
It’s a beautiful appliance and cooks beautifully *but* the big annoyance is trying to source the external ducting kit. AO said I could buy the requisite tubing from B&Q (as AO don’t sell them themselves) but it’s half the diameter required for this hob. I tried Elica directly and even they wouldn’t commit to which components I need to buy as “every cooking situation is different”. I’ve selected some items from Elica’s shop which is based in Italy but I’m don’t sure they will fit still. This is really poor service from a high end company (Elica) and also AO - if you sell the hob, surely you should sell the ducting kit too? Or I’ve bought an astonishingly expensive self-aspirating hob which won’t aspirate!

    Great hob, hidden costs

Looks great, but it doesn't come with everything you need to install and the elica ducting kits are very expensive! This should be made clear when purchasing

    Avoid at all costs

    1/5
Avoid at all costs! We were over the moon with this hob when it arrived but after 85 days a crack has appeared from the corner of the central vent. I contacted the manufacturer Elica through AO and they said the glass is not covered by the warranty and i need to pay over four hundred pounds for the new glass. WOW what first class customer service! I have paid an awful lot of money for this hob to be basically treat as dishonest as they are saying its accidental damage! Its funny though you have to have actually had an accident to cause damage to which i haven't as its nowhere near any of the cooking surfaces and i think i would know if i had actually cracked the glass. AO were not able to help either and have basically sided with Elica! but offered a very small gesture of goodwill payment. Very disappointed with both Elica & AO. Unfortunately you don't know how good a company is until you have a problem and i have found out first hand that they don't want to know after they take your money!! I contacted them never thinking there would be an issue but how wrong i was! Gutted with the way I have been treated its very unfair.

    Smart looking hob

A lovely looking hob, really smart. I'm really pleased with it. It's exacly what I wanted and how it looks online. However I haven't used it yet as my kitchen isn't fitted.

    Nice piece of kit

Works well, heats things super quickly. Had to buy extra ducting as it's not supplied as standard but is all sorted now. The extractor seems to work well, though not properly put it through its paces yet. It's a little loud when on full blast but fine. Looks great, and wipable. Game changer!
