My kettle has developed a large crack at the top of the handle after just 6 months which means it is unsafe for use. Lid does not open very well either, incredibly disappointed as also bought with the toaster and that cooks unevenly and slowly. A very expensive mistake.

Great looking kettle, boils quickly but VERY noisy!

Just had a brand new kitchen fitted so decided to splurge on a new kettle and wanted one that looked stylish. This fits the bill. It’s boils really quickly and is much quieter than our old kettle. The push button on the top of the lid is easy to operate. The only thing I would point out, although it’s not a problem for us, is that this kettle is relatively heavy when empty. The handle and base are chrome coloured plastic rather than metal, which is a little disappointing for the price, however it still looks nice. Have only been using it for a week so it’s early days but we love it so far.

Love this Smeg kettle. It has a quality feel to it, from the touch top opening and it’s solid grip handle to the high shine yet easy to clean body. Unlike other kettles, there is no spitting of hot water when you pour after boiling. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Not as great as I expected from SMEG. Actually seemed a little cheap and tinny, lid doesn’t always open first time and I thought it would be quieter when boiling.

Looks great, stylish and works perfectly. Not too loud when boiling either. definitely recommended
