    Excellent Induction Hob

    5/5
This is an excellent induction hob and is very easy to use. The intelligent bridge function is really useful, allowing you to place a large rectangular pan over 2 heating zones.

The worst hob I've ever used. Not fit for purpose!

    1/5
Firstly, this is a review on the product, not on AO. AO have been faultless on their service, from delivery to after sales, brilliant! Sadly, this hob (and as I'm led to believe from the very unhelpful people at AEG - all AEG induction hobs are he same), is absolutely not fit for purpose. I don't understand how this has so many brilliant reviews, as AEG refuse to accept the product is faulty, all the problems are a 'feature' of design! The 'Power Management' feature basically means only one burner can be used at a time, and is apparently the same on all Induction hobs. You will not be able to have all hobs anywhere near full power, even using just two hobs reduces the power to each significantly. The heat settings go from 1-14, but anything below 10 is almost useless and anything above 10 will only work if you have one hob active. The noise is terrible and the whistling noise (and yes, we have the correct pans), would send dogs mad even at half a mile away (It was audible over the noise of an extractor and a washing machine). Residual heat below the hob is a serious problem if you intend to use it above a cupboard or drawers, it would not be suitable. The heat setting regularly appears to change and have a mind of its own. I wanted two pans on 10, but the Hob seems to think it'll have one on 10 and flick the other one to 8. Thankfully AO have been brilliant with helping rid my home of this hateful bit of kit. Avoid, and as AEG confirms, all their induction hobs use the same power management feature, I'd give all AEG hobs a wide birth as well.

Can't think how they could improve it!

    5/5
Looks smart and is much slimmer than other models so you can still use a drawer underneath it as it doesn't hang down below the worktop very much. Gets pans up to temperature incredibly quickly and then offers a lot of control over how much heat to continue putting in. Easy to clean. Not much fan noise. Genuinely can't fault it!

Top quality from an established company

Excellent hob . Glass appears to be nice and thick to withstand any knocks. Simple controls. Replacement for an induction hob whose glass had cracked.

superb cooking with an induction hob

    5/5
the AEG induction hob is superb it has easy to understand controls and versatile in operation allowing larger cooking items to use a combination of 2 heating areas, the slide scale operation for heating adjustment allows fine tuning and the overall appearance is quality. the location seal allows for none movement of the unit and seals against spillage overall a quality item. Plus a 2 year guarantee which was easily activated through a telephone call.
