Really disappointed. Loved it when it arrived but six weeks later the fridge has completely failed. An engineer has just visited and told me that there's a major problem with the gas so the fridge isn't working at all and the freezer won't be working at the right temperature either. As it's not fixable I'm waiting for a replacement from Smeg (during a heatwave) and I've spoken to Smeg Customer Services but they haven't been able to give me any idea of timescales and say it will be up to them to decide whether they sent a replacement out once they've read the engineers report. For the amount of money I've paid, I feel really let down especially because I have no idea how long I'll be without a fridge freezer. The warranty will cover a replacement or repair (I hope) but I don't get anything towards all the food which has gone off and which has had to be thrown away which is really annoying. I know Smeg have reliability issues but I'm pretty disappointed my brand new fridge freezer only lasted six weeks. The lads from AO who delivered it were super careful when they brought it in.

This is the updated version of the 2017 model. I didn’t think we’d need to replace our old SMEG fridge after less than 7 years and have taken a leap of faith in ordering a SMEG fridge again so I’m hoping this new product will last longer. I have taken out AO’s by product insurance just in case. In essence, if you want the look of a SMEG fridge then you’re going to have to pay a premium and accept the fact that it’s a complicated piece of machinery and it could go wrong.

Lovely retro piece improved from model we bought 5 years ago. Freezer drawers much more sturdy and fridge lighting much brighter. Stay fresh veg drawers a new addition seem to increase the life of the fruit and veg. Better all round.

This looks lovely in our kitchen, just one problem ,the hinged cover to the dairy compartment on the door did not fit as one of the lugs was not the right size and it kept falling off, Smeg are dealing with this.

Love the look of the SMEG Fridge Freezer, it really brightens up the kitchen compared to my previous basic steel grey colour (not SMEG). The design is great and the shelves are well spaced. The brand letter detailing on the door compartment is low quality as the letters moved as I removed from the packaging. It is also quite noisy compared to my previous appliance which was less than 1/4 of the price.

Classy looking appliance. For the money you’d think there’d be a bottle rack included but I’m nitpicking. Salad/veg drawer keeps food fresh way longer than any other fridge I’ve owned!

Excellent product, exactly as you would expect from SMEG. Very large capacity. Looks amazing. Functioning well since installation.
