I'll be straight. This is a good value cheap hob although I found it a little complicated to begin with. The reason I gave it only one star is because whilst installing it I sliced one of my fingers quite badly on a sharp piece of metal which should not have been on it. The product should have been delivered in better condition, quality control should have been better. If I'm being unfair because this is not normally an issue, I apologise but this was my experience.

Product arrived faulty and both AO and the manufacturer have failed to take responsibility. Being a portfolio landlord it is often too time consuming to ship around so I have (albeit lazily) been a regular customer of AO over the years, however I have noticed that over the past year or so, thier standards and quality of installers have dropped dramatically! So maybe the single star ought to be shared between the appliance (manufacturer) and AO's installation / aftersales team which can only be described as shambolic. I shall be talking my business elsewhere in future.

I did like this hob initially, but found the touch controls a bit difficult to use sometimes because they just didn't respond to my fingers. Then 6 months after having it installed it broke when a bottle just fell over on it. :(

It works but it scratches very easily. It’s only been installed a few weeks and it’s already got several scratches

The hob works fine so far but it was a bit of disappointment to find out that there is no electrical cable provided with the hob. This lost me half the day to find and purchase the appropriate cable and figure out the installation diagram and fit it myself. It would have be great if the cable was included. Thanks

The hob works as expected. The reason for a 3 star is a) The packaging was awful. The installation booklet had been taped together which meant half out it was ruined and unreadable. b) The mounting brackets had not been securely located within the packaging, and so I was missing one of the brackets - which are rubbish by design. Once you fit the hob, good luck getting it out again! c) No power cable.. It was hard to determine the correct size cable to use.. Luckily I was able to remove the previous cable from my old device. d) Make sure you take note of the Serial Number before fitting! I went to register for the 2 year warranty only to find out I would have to remove the hob to get it. As per 'b' I won't be registering anytime soon! Lastly e) It has only been in use for 3 or 4 days and the heating rings already have marks. In short.. would I buy this again. No!
