The dryer is saving about 30p a load. It does take longer but not to the point its been a problem to us. Items come out dry as you would want. Think about your plumbing, we needed a new trap that had two inlets, one for the washing machine and a separate one for the dryer. Connectivity has surprised me, we do actually use it, it also talks to the washing machine to learn what drying cycle it should use. Swapping the door over took some time, there are hidden screws under the seal and if the screws under the hinge are in the wrong place the door will not close nicely. There's an inside light that again is surprisingly useful. The machine always says it will take 3.5 hours, but after 30 mons it corrects to a more predicted time, we are averaging about 90 mins a load. Its a little more noisy than our previous dryer, but not much. Very pleased with the machine, would recommend it.

Lets start with the cost of this dryer... Its a cry once buy once purchase. A product that I'm sure will last for many years. The build quality is as good if not better than its German counterparts, it also has many cool design features like a light on the inside of the drum to check if you missed a sock at the back. The performance is quiet and smooth, If you have a Samsung WIFI washing machine they can talk to each other, the washer will tell the dryer what settings to use and how long to dry the clothes; very cool. The usage, I've had mine for a week now and its been on most days at least twice. Because its a heat pump design I can put it in any room and not worry about being near a window. Now to the things I don't like... This list is very short one in fact, The only thing that's getting on my nerves is the music that plays it when it starts up or finishes a cycle. I really wish I'd purchased this years ago when they first came out. 100% recommend to everyone who looking to upgrade to a heat pump dryer.

I had samsung tumble dryer before. Comparing new Samsung model is bigger (9kg), very easy to operate, wifi connection and app on my phone working great, and when I am at work I could ask my son just to turn on machine and put wet clothes in and I’ll do the rest via app and wifi. Overall performance is well, very quiet machine, lots of different programs, some of them might be adjusted like extra warm or anti creases options can be added. If you not sure what program will be good for certain clothes, just go on app, click what you will be drying and that’s it, app gives you advice what setting is most suitable for drying. This machine comes with drying rack, which I used for drying sports bag so far and it performed well. Clothes comes less creased comparing to different heat pump tumble dryers brands. Some people saying heat pump takes ages to dry, but technically those warm air which machine creates, is pumped back and again and again when clothes are dry so it takes longer yes, but that is because uses the same air, and do not reheat all the time which in the end other (not heat pump) tumble dryers uses more energy and they are more costly. There is debris/dust filter which you can take it out and clean, very easy and also filter on the bottom left with a flap, so you press that and comes open, then you take out the safe panel and use that little brush (included) to take it out all dust and debris. I do needed to do it so far (I used this machine for about one month now) so I assume will be only quarterly. You can also hoover gently that place with hoover soft brush end but make sure do not damage filter walls. At the of cycle you just empty water containers on the top left of machine or you can plugged (plumbing in) a pipe which comes with tumble dryer at the back to drain water out straight to pipes. Then you don’t have to remember about emptying that water drawer container at all :) That is very easy, very smart looking, good features like warm/cold air, quick drying, delicates etc. I just wish door has been white as well, as on black you see any splashes of water (I have sink nearby) and dust. Definitely would recommend this tumble dryer.

I did a fair bit of research before buying this dryer. Yes, its quite expensive but the initial outlay is worth it considering how much we will save on our electricity bills compared to a condenser dryer. It has lots of different functions which I am yet to explore but so far so good. Its very straightforward to operate and I love that it detects when the clothes are perfectly dry. Would definitely recommend.

Very unhappy with this product and the service from AO. First the installers didn’t actually plumb it into the mains water meaning that it doesn’t work to it’s best capacity. I wasn’t asked if I wanted this, it was next ti a washing machine so definitely possible and the first I knew ir wasn’t was when the water tank filled up and needed emptying. Second, the dryer rarely dries the load in one go - often turning off after 10 to 15 mins. I’ve called Samsung customer service (which is horrific) but for the price i expect something that doesn’t need constant fiddling with just to have a fighting chance that it works

Really like the drier, it makes clothes super soft, far nicer than my previous tumble. The only reason I didn’t leave 5 stars is that the song it plays on completion is very long and I can’t find a way to change it so it’s a bit annoying! But a great tumble drier that also seems to be far more efficient on the electric than our old standard condenser tumble which is important at the moment.

I needed a dryer that hinged on the left side of the door. This one hinged on the right but the specification stated that the door was reversible so it seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately the door cannot be reversed so the dryer had to be returned before I could use it.
