I have had this hotpoint DU254OLX built under electric double oven approximately 16 months now. I am so disappointed with this product. The oven cooks very unevenly .And the top oven when using the grill part shuts off while grilling food you have to wait for it to come back on to continue cooking . I would not recommend buying this model

Main oven light stopped working on the second day of using it. Can't even get the lamp cover off to replace it! Not impressed.

Arrived dented and didn't work when fitted. Hotpot sent an engineer and now we need to send it back and wait for the replacement.

Not impressed with this oven brought on March 28, 2021, and three weeks later the fan in the bottom oven has stopped working and the oven does not reach the temperature it should, causing many meals to be undercooked. We only use the top oven now, whilst waiting for an engineer to arrive (an almost 2-week wait away!). Nothing should go wrong this quickly unless corners are being cut somewhere?

Oven was returned as faulty. The only way I could cook in the main oven was to have it on maximum temperature and even then took twice as long to cook. I say cook in the loosest possible term as in reality some of the food was burnt on top but uncooked in the middle and the rest was soggy so if you like crispy roast potatoes you definitely won’t get them. So much steam came out of the oven that the top oven had pools of water in it. The grill stopped working after about 8 minutes which I’ve read is a safety feature & won’t come back on until it has cooled down but I know know how anyone is supposed to grill a large chop in 8 minutes! And has to be without doubt the most frustrating way to cook! The energy efficiency is useless as you can only cook on max temperature and takes twice as long to cook anything. It also cooked unevenly. The grill pan is very small which seems ridiculous when they could’ve had one to fit the grill space. The overall look of the oven is quite chunky & the handles are very big and stick out a lot so my cupboards next to it hit the handles when you open them so have to be careful you don’t end up with a dent in your cupboard door. All in all would definitely not recommend buying this oven

Despite the notes on ensuring the old product was outside ready for collection, delivery guys had no qualms about bringing the new one into my house. This time they didn't even pause for me to ask them to remove the packaging. As a result, I didn't have time to check the oven, but it did arrive broken. I had to contact customer services, who all credit to them, were quick to resolve and gave me a small credit. Update: The broken part did arrive quite quickly.

Not happy with this product at all. Previously owned a very similar Hotpoint cooker which was brilliant so went for a like for like thinking it would be great - wrong!! The cooker and grill are only energy efficient because they turn on and off whilst cooking. I had an engineer come out thinking it was faulty as food always needed to cook for a lot longer than it should - chips are soggy not crispy, cakes do not rise properly, chicken comes out raw inside if only cooked for the stated cooking time. The energy rating is based on how much electricity it uses with a certain time frame so gives a false reading because the cooker needs to be on longer. If using the grill for cooking sausages or chops be prepared to cook for a long time as this too cuts off to "save energy" so cooking stops while this is happening.

Does not cook evenly, temperature does not match dial. Don’t waste your money, bought in March have tried to use since but fed up with raw food! Sending to tip and buying one that is not Hotpoint!!
