Tried all settings,but burnt one side, untoasted the other side, comes up favourite most of the time. Not impressed, should have kept the old Murphy Richards.

This De'Longhi Icona Is a nice looking toaster with the crumb tray at the back so no weird lipped edges to wipe over on the front. A nice even toast in a relatively quick time. Delivered really quickly and in perfect condition by ao.com. My youngest son likes the reheat function that reheats the toast without further browning - and I like the bagel function - which is good for toasting tea cakes as well as toasting and warming bagels. My older son likes the defrost setting which as I understand it works fantastically with pop tarts! The dials are nice and vintageesque and easy to understand .... and the shiny surface is easy to wipe clean. I love it.

Like the style and looks, but disappointed with the toasting, as it browns unevenly in each side of the bread!

The toaster is good, but I don't like the brown knobs. They don't go with anything in my kitchen.

I bought this in a hurry to replace our failing 10yr old Breville cafe style toaster. The machine looks good, just don't expect it to toast your bread the same on both sides nor expect it to do crumpets properly. At best, It could be described as ok only because it looks good. Definitely form over function in my opinion - Its not bad enough to send back but only just! Would I buy the same again? NO!

Looks great and, so far, performs well. Get ready to "catch" your toast...:o)
