A quality range cooker at a great price
5/5
A long overdue purchase to replace a 20+ year-old dual fuel range cooker. I decided to go for an induction hob rather than another gas one, and am really pleased I did - it's really easy to use and to keep clean. (It needs specialist hob cleaner to give the best finish.) The 4 hobs are responsive and the 'power boost' function heats up really quickly. I haven't used the warming plate (situated to the right of the hobs) yet but it will be really handy when cooking larger family meals. Having two ovens is great too - I've baked bread which has come out really well. The clock and timer is really easy to use as well. The cooker looks really smart, seems well-made and is great value. Control knobs on the fascia seem robust and easy to use with clear markings.
It's fair to say that this range doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some more expensive brands - the oven functions are limited and the third cooking compartment is a grill only, rather than an oven/grill. If these matter to you then you'll need to spend another few hundred pounds for them. But in my book, simple is beautiful, and there's less to go wrong!
One thing that would be really helpful when buying online would be a 'bird's eye' image or diagram of the cooker hob itself. AO's website is mostly very good but the photos of each cooker don't include this, which I think is something it's helpful to know before purchasing, to check the layout of the hobs are what you want.
