Gas hob unsafe after only 3 months

    1/5
I would have given this cooker 4* if the gas hob had not recently developed a fault, and was declared unsafe, less than 3 months after installation. AEG do not provide a timely or convenient visit by an engineer under their warranty. I was only offered one date, (with no time slot) which is an extremely inconvenient day for me, with no other dates available in the whole of March. Up until this time I was quite satisfied with the cooker, the gas burners worked well, the wok burner is a good feature. However the controls are flimsy and not stable. Both ovens are capacious and seem to have accurate temperatures and even heating. Homemade bread is well baked in the main fan oven with an even rise, and other foods are well cooked, but I had to purchase an additional oven rack. However the grill is not great, you have to keep the top oven door closed whilst grilling, it is very slow to heat up and doesn't make good toast.

    Disappointing - and not cheap!

    2/5
Really disappointed with this. Main oven temperature is way hotter than the dial says. We even bought an oven thermometer to check, and 180 on the dial is around 215 inside the oven. All our food was being cremated. A few minor annoyances - the handle on the top oven isn't a bar. We tend to hang towels on the upper bar, but now that there isn't one, we'll have to find somewhere else to put them. Also, the oven racks have a raised rim, so you can't just slide food off the racks, you have to go in and dig it out, which isn't always easy and has already led to one burnt hand. Just little things, but they make a difference. I really don't like this oven, am investigating returning it for a refund.

    Cooker of two halves

    3/5
The ovens are excellent and have produced fine baking results so far. The cooker is let down by poor quality gas knobs. The the outer dial rings rotate, giving a less than accurate setting. Three day’s in and the front right knob has failed, and won’t ignite the gas. Disappointed.

    Great

Very sleek design and quiet compared to previous cooker. I do believe it is slightly overpriced.

    Good duel fuel cooker

    4/5
As most other reviews mentioned, the control knobs are not as you expect from the brand and the price of the cocker. Only had it for a week now and all okay.

Great cooker (except for the knobs and dials).

    4/5
This is a first rate cooker which does everything you expect it to really well but it doesn't quite get top marks because of the knobs and dials which are cheap and plasticky and which let it down. The dials move slightly with the knobs so it's hard to know exactly what the temperature setting is - ludicrous for a cooker of this standard. Otherwise, though, all good.

    Overall fantastic experience

Great all round cooker. Big ovens, nice hob lay out . My only small concern is the dials they feel cheaper then the price we paid. Hopefully they will last. Overall I highly recommend this cooker.

    Very good product.

    4/5
Very good looking oven. Good amount of internal space considering it's a double oven. Agree with a couple of reviews saying the knobs are cheap feeling. Look fine but not sure how long they'll last before needing replacement. The gas hob isn't as controllable as my previous oven but not really a problem. I do like the steam vents from the oven, this helps crisping rather than sweating food. Overall a nice addition to the kitchen. I paid for the oven installation. Glad I did as hadn't realised what was involved. Two hours, new gas pipework and electric sockets later, ready to cook - after half an hour on full heat to burn off the oven internal protective coating. When doing that you really do need doors / windows open as it stinks for that first time. Top marks to AO, really good service. Not always the cheapest but they've got it cracked with fast turnaround delivery.
