    No programmable timer

    3/5
Only just fitted so not used many of the functions. Induction hob is great. Massive surprise that for what I feel is an expensive cooker that there is no programmable timer on the main oven, hence only 3 stars.

    Great Cooker

    5/5
This was the replacement for our previous AEG cooker with induction hob that had given us 12 years service. The new one has knobs for control instead of a touch pad which should prevent issues with water affecting the controls. It will take us a little while to get used to the displays and new functionality. The delivery and installation was quick and a very good service but there were some issues connecting the cooker that required contact with the experts to resolve ( we had a similar issue with the previous oven) so I think AEG could improve their installation instructions. One small issue with the hob is the position of the touch buttons for the P function on each of the rings that is if you have a frying pan on the front rings it is easy for them to simulate a touch initiating the P function.

A very functional oven with a very fast induction hob

    4/5
Very impressed with the hob part of this, gets pans to temperature blisteringly fast and also gets things simmering away very steadily, with barely any adjustment needed. The steam oven functionality is a nice touch, although it can be a bit hard to top up the water levels for the steam as there's an indent that you want to pour into, which involves reaching inside the oven itself. It also only comes with one set of telescopic runners, which, although very handy, would be much nicer if you could attach them throughout the lower oven. The racks move pretty easily and don't feel like they're going to drop your food everywhere, but can feel a bit rough scraping against their supports (and can make quite a loud noise, which I'm sure will go away with more use). The knobs feel incredibly cheap and plasticky, and as you turn them they sometimes slightly stick in a position (which felt at first like it might be intentional for getting to some sort of midpoint, but it was happening at pretty random places on each knob). The actual cooking in the ovens is great, mostly pretty even, and the grill functionality has also been perfectly adequate. I feel like it would be better if the top oven had a fan also, but that's more of just a preference thing.

    The missing information you need.

    3/5
It's OK. The induction hob is very responsive. The oven does many things, if you like that sort of thing. The hob is super easy to clean, but the knobs are not so easy. My huge gripe is that the oven does not come with a connecting cable - you have to buy one separately. A fact you discover when reading the manual. You will also need a very funny shaped screwdriver - one with a small triangular end. Of course, it's better to have it installed. But you can't if your plug points are too close. Far more important to not break the new building regulations! Much better to install it yourself. Not.

Impressed by AEG induction hob double electric oven

    5/5
Arrived on time, installed professionally by ao. We have use the top oven as a grill and an oven and are pleased with the results. The grill tray is huge! The bottom oven heats well, and we were pleased that there are three shelves provided, maximising the cooking possibilities. The induction hob is new to us, having used gas before. It heats up efficiently with suitable pans and is so easy to wipe over with a damp soapy cloth to remove splashes. Others have criticized the plastic knobs, but these are easily wiped clean too so I don't consider it a problem at all. So overall very pleased so far, which is what I would expect from an expensive 60 cm oven.

Lots of different settings for cooking

    5/5
The two ovens have several different settings. It's not a simple case of off and on. I know it's going to take some getting used to, but being able to change who the cooker heats up will help to reduce how much electricity is used when cooking. This was an expensive cooker, in my opinion, but hopefully it will have been worth it if it saves on energy going forward. There is an interesting "steam bake" setting, when I haven't used yet, but am excited to see what kind of bakes this can give me. The claim is that it will give a bake that moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Don't forget that you may need new pots and pans to use the induction hob. If you're not sure if your old pots and pans are suitable you just need to check if they are magnetic on the bottom. We forgot and now only have one pan we can use, but it is a great excuse for some new kitchen ware.

    Very pleased!

    5/5
Bought this to replace a Stoves Richmond 600Ei that had developed three different faults in less than 18 months (not from AO). Great hob. Heats quickly and instant control with knobs - much easier than touch controls on other induction hobs. Huge ovens with variety of options for different cooking methods. Only minor criticism is that the oven fans stays on for ages when the oven is off - but I guess that’s testimony to the insulation of the oven!

High quality oven and cooker, bit noisy

    4/5
High quality oven and cooker. Very effective, heats up quickly. Good set of features. Minor complaint is that the oven is a bit noisy.
