    Disappointed

    3/5
Cheap-looking knobs, flimsy. The cooker doesn't seem to spread the heat equally despite the fan. Disappointing for the price paid. I was surprised to have to pay a delivery charge when I had to wait about ten days for a delivery.

    Best Review ! ;-)

    5/5
I have read a number of reviews and wanted to add my own thoughts about this great cooker so you can judge for yourself to see if this is right for you. Plus points Beautiful functional design. Seems well made from quality components. Low carbon footprint - A/A rated. Black and Stainless Steel finish will look great in most kitchens. You can use all your regular pots and pans. Beautiful sleek hob cooking surface. Top Tip - Remember to try to use all the rings to extend the life of your cooker. Red indicator safety lights to show when the rings are still hot. Energy saving tip - You can turn off your ring before your food is fully cooked so the residual heat will finish the cooking process. Larger than average top and bottom ovens. Adjustable feet for uneven floors (you'll need a spanner to adjust the feet) Lights inside oven to keep an eye on your baking. Oven timer function. Special function to give bread a more crispy crust - see YouTube video as people have been confused by the written instruction. Doors open smoothy. Grill opens downwards, oven door opens to the left. Nice even heat distribution for baking and grilling with the internal fans. It is a pleasure to cook and especially bake with this product! Minus points I was unaccustomed to the new cooker smell which did reduce after about a week. Top tip - put the oven on for an hour or so to get rid of any coatings inside the oven, as these can change the taste of your food. You have to treat the hob with care - no scraping pans over the rings! If you are heavy handed or drop pans down on the glass you could break the hob and void your warranty. It is necessary to keep the hob clean as cooking build-up / dirt in time will reduce the capacity of the ring to heat properly. It appears that the hob scratches really easily. Top tip - if you very gently use a metal scourer in a circular motion, you can lift off what appear to be the scratches on the hob. After the gentle scouring wipe down with a damp cloth, then dry the surface and your hob could look like new! Having used gas all my life I find the rings slow to heat up. I have to turn the ring to full blast then turn them down. Possibly hob cooking time may be a bit longer. There is no grill pan handle and as the grill is larger than normal, you may not be able to use your old one. Reasonable level of sound for the fan function on grill and oven. It would be nice if it was quieter. With the design of my kitchen, the safety chain attachment at the back means that the cooker stands out from the rest of the kitchen cabinets. I wish this product was made in the UK. This cooker is a thing of beauty, form and function. All in all I am very happy with my cooker and have made many wonderful meals. Given the technology that we have I think it is the best it can be for now. It would be great to have a AAA+ cooker but I am not aware of any in this price range. I really am delighted with my purchase, thank you AO :-)

AEG CCB6740ACM Electric Cooker with Ceramic Hob

    5/5
It's always difficult buying large items online, but I have to say I'm impressed with my new cooker, its does everything I want it to do and more. I thought the steam oven setting was just a gimmick, but its actually works. Chicken breasts cooked on that setting are succulent and juicy. Top Marks

    A good replacement

    5/5
We needed to replace a Belling cooker and were looking for another ceramic hob with a double oven. Not disappointed with this product the ovens are comparatively spacious, we like the full width grill pan which can be used in either oven, overall the cooker is attractive, the knobs on the top are not an issue the dials / programming is easy to use. The ceramic hob rings are quick to react and easily controllable. The only thing you need to be mindful of is the steam vents at the back, these produce steam whenever the ovens are in use.

    Lacking Programmable Timer.

    4/5
Works Ok but I was expecting a programmable oven timer like my last cooker so I could set when the oven came on and for how long. You seem to be only able to set a reminder alarm and a duration timer, NO start time / End time timer.

    Likes & dislikes

I am pleased with the overall look & performance so far. The knobbs situated on the top edge of the hob make the likelihood of pressing by mistake. The symbols on the oven knobbs are difficult to distinguish.

    New AEG cooker

    5/5
After a slightly problematic delivery the cooker has been installed and is working brilliantly. It took us a while to work out all the new symbols buy we've now used both ovens, the grill and the job. All have produced brilliant results and are very easy to clean. Overall we are very happy with out purchase.

    Missing fully programmable Timer

    4/5
Cooker looks well and performs well so far, only had it 5 days but have found 1 issue that was not explained when searching for a cooker that met my requirements. Was going out for the day but wanted to put chicken in the oven on timer so that it would be hot and cooked for when I returned home. I had a Creda cooker for 27 years before this and you would set an End Time and a Cook Time. Modern technology you would think timer would of advanced, but I could not seem to find any way of setting a Start time or an end time for the oven, only option was a duration timer. So I can get cooker to turn off after a time delay, but not get it to turn on at a particular time. Does not explain that in description!!
