Bought this for my daughter because my model BHC605 is not available. Advantages of new model is that the child lock doesn't get accidentally switched on because you have to push two buttons together. Also you can switch individual burners off with long press. Disadvantage is having only one set of + and - keys as opposed to one set for each burner. It works but it's not as intuitive. Overall very good value for money.

Does what it should, controls are relatively simple once you realise just HOW long 2 seconds is for the 'long press'. I would say be sure to read the instructions first as it's not immediately intuitive.

Review may be a bit unfair as I’m comparing to our old induction hob. After cracking our old hob I decided not to go for another induction again as I felt limited by the pans you could use (most say for all hobs except induction). Should have done research first as ceramic job is much slower to heat up. Also much harder to clean as burnt on marks take ages to remove whereas the induction would just wipe clean with a damp cloth. Think this is just a problem moth ceramic jobs in general and not just this one.

Good product, very easy to use, different size rings, touch sensitive buttons work well and has child lock systsm.

I bought this product because it was an updated version of the previous model I had, which gave great service for 10 years. And because it had good reviews. This model is not as intuitive or as easy to use as my last hob because the controls are a bit different. Once you get the hang of it, though, it's a good hob. What's also good is that with my last hob, the child lock was always coming on when I didn't intend it to, it was easily activated with the slightest touch. But with this updated model, this doesn't happen because you have to press two buttons to lock it, and to unlock it. The only downside so far for me is that there is no timer, which my last model had. However, that's not a major thing for me as I use a separate timer, which works well for me. It also looks very nice and the buttons, once you've got used to them, respond immediately to your touch, and the rings give instant heat - I do think this model heats up much faster than the last one. The rings are arranged so that you can have your biggest pans at the back of the hob, and the smallest ones at the front. I haven't tried cooking with all four rings on the go yet, but it seems a reasonably spacious arrangement which I am happy with, as I prefer to have larger pans at the back of the cooker for safety reasons. Another plus point is that you can switch off each ring immediately by pressing down on the control for 2 seconds. I'm very happy with it and hope that I will get the same long service and reliability that the last hob gave. So far I think it's been a good choice for me. I knocked one star off because it doesn't have an integrated timer. Other than that, it's great

The Baumatic hob is my second one after unfortunately an accident with the first one but had it about 10yrs with no probs. Realised that Baumatic don't manufacture the original hob anymore and this was the closest one to it, same size color and everything apart from the colour of the rings it's practically the same and up to now no probs. For the price it's spot on does everything you need to do . 5 star for me.

We purchased this model to replace a previous ceramic hob that had, after years of use, cracked. There's so many to choose from and we just wanted something simple that was easy to use and offered a range of cooking option-this fit the bill! It arrived promptly and, due to being in lockdown, my husband and I (neither at all good at DIY) managed to install it ourselves without any issues! Been using it for a couple of weeks now and very pleased.

Hob looks lovely and is easy to use. I like the slider to control the heat, so much easier than my old hob. Hard to keep clean though ??
