Good microwave let down by poor instructions and inadequate fixings
3/5
Not entirely satisfied. Installation was tricky because the instructions were dreadful -- just cryptic pictures and no words to explain things. Once deciphered, the actual fixing mechanism was inadequate, meaning that although the left hand side is fixed to the enclosure with screws, the right hand side is not fixed. It uses a piece of metal which has to be precisely positioned depending on the thickness of the enclosure panel, which I assume is supposed to press against the panel, even cutting in a little, to stop movement. It doesn't work -- the right hand side is not anchored and the microwave can be pulled out a little on that side. Not very secure, though perhaps not a problem because the door is electrically operated -- you press a button to open it rather than having to pull it open.
The microwave itself is great -- works very well. I would prefer if the buttons lit up when the door is opened so you can see what buttons to press in the dark, but that is probably a niche requirement.
