Given the number of years that Russell Hobbs have been making toasters, you would think that by now they would have worked out the size of the slot needed to accommodate normal sized slices of bread. The choice with this one is either put up with only 3/4 of the slice toasted, or, jam it in sideways with one end bent and risk it not popping up. The bread I use is not abnormally sized - it is the one my local shop sells out of first. I really don't see why I should change my eating habits to make the food fit the toaster. It works well otherwise, although it does need to be turned up to 5 on the dial to get coloured toast. I am so disappointed I can only give it 2 stars.

I bought this to match a kettle in the same range. Looks great and works well. It’s designed for one side to be used for toasting just two slices, and the right side can only be used if toasting four slices. This takes a bit of getting used to, as I expected to be able to use either side at any time. This is fine though. Overall it’s a good product that looks nice too. Good size, fits well in my little kitchen. Would be better if it could fit slightly larger slices of bread in it, as sometimes I have to turn the normal supermarket bread upside down halfway through toasting!

Very smart toaster. Stylish and goes nicely with our new white gloss kitchen. Would recommend this product. Toast evenly as well.

Looks great as a set as I brought the kettle to match but my old toaster is due to come back out of the cupboard as this one is not a patch on the breville one I had!! Toast this morning was in for 3 mins and still only had slightly crispy warm bread ... so they went in for another 3 minutes and then was just brown....

We bought this toaster with my partner and we are absolutely amazed !! It’s fast, doesn’t burn the toast (which was the case with our old one even if on the lowest setting), it’s not too big for a 4-slot toaster and really easy in use. Designed look of the toaster just add up to its functionality :) Overall really impressed, although You can use only left side if you want to make two toast, right one doesn’t work on it’s own. But that isn’t issue at all for us. :)

Nice stylish toaster. The toaster slots are very wide so you can put a good size dice in there. Gives a nice even toasting to bread.

I'm looking at returning this it only warms the bread
